Third in Listed company at Newbury in December and matched that performance back there over 2m4½f (soft) last time out when scoring by 4L. Looks capable of stepping up to this level and being competitive on that evidence.
Has won novices' contests at both Southwell and Fakenham at around 2m this season and was not beaten far under a penalty at Leicester last time. Back up in trip here, which may enable her to eek out improvement. Will need some.
Has made a very promising start to her career, winning twice at up to 2m3½f since going hurdling this season. Well beaten in Listed company last time, but if she can return to the form of her Wincanton win then she has decent claims.
Improving mare who has put together two wins at Ludlow (both 2m, soft) in recent months, the latter under a penalty. Step up in looks a good move on pedigree and she may well take another step forward this time. Contender.
Has made good progress this term, winning at Wincanton (2m5½f, soft) and Kempton (3m, soft). Stopped very quickly in this grade at Ascot last time, but can be forgiven one off day and should not be dismissed lightly here.
Another who is making strides forward this season and she followed up her November Lingfield win with success on her handicap debut at Chepstow (2m3½f, heavy) last time. Up 8lb and in grade here and needs to raise her game again.
Maiden after five starts, though just one of those over hurdles at Huntingdon (2m4½f, soft) last time. While that was a commendable effort, she is going to need a decent amount of improvement for it to take a hand at this level.
Wasn't disgraced at this level in an Aintree bumper last year and made a good start over hurdles when winning a Market Rasen maiden (2m4½f, good to soft) in November. Respectable efforts under penalties since then, but has a bit to find.
Has stepped up on some solid bumper form over hurdles this year and won a 2m5f mares' novices' contest at Warwick (heavy) last month, despite looking a bit awkward. Potential for more from her and she is respected now upped in grade.
Has been making gradual improvement in a truncated first three runs of her career. Beaten 19L on hurdles debut at Doncaster last time and, although she might better that today, she needs an awful lot more to make an impact in this field.
Forecasts
Melangerie (3/1), If You Say Run (4/1), Midnight Tune (5/1), All Currencies (6/1), Sensulano (13/2), Naranja (10/1), Banjo Girl (12/1), Oh Michelle (14/1), Redemption Song (16/1), Viking Queen (50/1)
A good contest in prospect and although the bare form of her Ludlow wins is not the best on offer here, the step up in trip can help MELANGERIE improve and that might be sufficient to complete a hat-trick. Both If You Say Run and Midnight Tune would have decent claims if they can put disappointing last efforts behind them, while All Currencies and Sensulano are others that merit closer inspection.
