Ran well here on debut (good) and bettered that when winning a similar contest at Sedgefield (soft) last time. Has to be respected for that, but winning these races under a penalty is never an easy task.

Was sent off as favourite for her debut bumper here against the boys last month and ran with credit to be 13L third. Should be capable of going even closer against her own sex here and with that experience under her belt.

Made favourite for her debut point-to-point at Witton Castle last April but refused to race. Dam won several of those, plus 2m4f-3m4f chases. Has right sort of stamina credentials for one of these races and market check advised.

Showed minor promise in her second and third runs (both on good ground) in November, the latest of them here. Nonetheless, hasn't yet suggested she will follow some of her relatives into the winner's spot.

Made a promising debut at Kelso (good) in November, when beaten 21L. Heavy ground possibly responsible for poor run last time at Ayr, so may begin to improve now back on good to soft again today.
Produced a nice enough debut effort at Wetherby (1m4½f, soft) in December, when a 6½L fifth. Half-sister to the useful 2m4f hurdle/chase winner Hell's Kitchen, so probably better to come from her and is short-listed.

Finished 5¾L ahead of Chouquette when a ¾L second on debut in the same Wetherby bumper in December. Pedigree more about speed than stamina, but stayed on that day and if she gets home here then she looks the one to beat.
Half-sister to Balmusette, winner of a bumper and at up to 3m over hurdles and bumper winner Tolethorpe. In-form stable is 0-11 in bumpers since holding a licence, but this filly could still make a nice debut.

Forecasts

Perfect Myth (10/11), Eternally Yours (3/1), Zakharova (8/1), Indian Opera (10/1), Blue Baton (14/1), Chouquette (14/1), Rubydoobs (25/1), Wise Coco (50/1)

17:00 Musselburgh - 14 February 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Both PERFECT MYTH and Chouqette made good debuts at Wetherby in December, but the former had distance to spare between them on the day and is taken to go one better this time. Lucinda Russell's filly is one of three in this race for her trainer, so a market check would be prudent, but she may be the best of them this time. Eternally Yours merits plenty of respect after winning last time, while Wise Coco and newcomer Zakharova go into this with some positives to their names.
  1. Perfect Myth
  2. Chouquette
  3. Wise Coco
