Has run a couple of promising races recently but those were on softer ground on turf, and didn't particularly impress on return to AW last time out. Others holds more convincing claims.
Improved on British AW debut last time out having been thrown in at the deep end in races such as the Cesarewitch Trial. This should be a much more suitable level of competition for him.
Has had an interruped career with only nine starts under both codes despite being an eight-year-old. This is much easier than his last assignment but not one to rely on.
Winner over a similar trip at Kempton last time having been stepped back up to that distance. Up 4lb and interesting with a top AW jockey taking the ride.
Hasn't been running too badly over hurdles or on the Flat recently. Not quite so good at Chepstow latest but could put in a better showing on this return to the AW.
Has good form on the AW, including here, and though his last couple of performances suggest he may be a little too high in the weights, he has still run respectably.
Lightly raced compared to most of these, especially on the Flat. Took a step in the right direction when up in trip at Chelmsford last time in a maiden and shouldn't be ruled out lightly for this handicap debut.
In good form recently following a short break. Up only slightly in the weights after a fair effort last time and is drawn to run well.
Forecasts
Good Time Ahead (3/1), Mambo Dancer (7/2), Seaport (5/1), Argus (5/1), Suegioo (9/1), All For The Best (9/1), Counterfeiter (14/1), Tiar Na Nog (25/1), Silver Quay (80/1)
Seaport is interesting now racing at a much more suitable level of competition compared to when he first arrived from France, but preference is for ARGUS. The booking for Adam Kirby catches the eye and having won over a similar trip at Kempton last time he should have more to offer over these staying distances. Mambo Dancer has been in good form recently and completes the tricast.
