Has a lovely pattern to his form at the track with his form figures going 4321 and he's one of seven of this field that have won on Fibresand. That was a solid effort last time to end a long losing run and now has to prove himself off a 6lb higher mark.

A three-time winner in 2017 his last win came on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton taking advantage of a drop into 0-75 grade over 7f. Now makes his Fibresand debut (sire has a fair record here) but does face a fair few specialists here on this surface.

Stable are rather quiet at the moment but his mark is gradually falling and wasn't seen to the best effect here last time over 6f. May well be better back over this furlong further trip but others make more appeal.

A course regular who has won here 11 times now but isn't the most consistent in truth. Now back to his last winning mark and capable of winning something like this if he's in the mood although not one to rely on.

Only had a couple of runs here and scored on the second of them over 6f and now steps up to 7f for just the second time. All his winning has been done at 6f so this trip does throw up a question mark especially in a competitive race off a 3lb higher mark.

In a good spell at the moment especially on this surface and a winner of two of his last three runs here (both over this 7f trip). His penultimate run has worked out well and he has a good pull in the weights with Majestic Moon who beat him last time out; leading player.

Two good runs to his name on Fibresand without winning and bumped into one on the first occasion. Behind Majestic Moon and Zaeem last time out when the mile trip looked to stretch him and this 7f trip mat well suit him better.

Puts his unbeaten record on the line here having won over 7f and a mile on the Fibresand with his last run being franked by the subsequent win of the second. Likes to make the running and steps up in grade here so could find this harder but respected back on this surface.

The second unbeaten runner on this surface with her record reading 111 here with all the wins coming over this trip. Nudged up 4lb for beating Bold Spirit last time out and that makes life a little tougher but she's hard to rule out given her record here.

Has built a decent record on Fibresand (24126) but his last win came in a lower grade than this (0-60) off a 10lb lower mark. Ran poorly last time out to end his run of good form and faces a tough task again here.

One of only two in this field that haven't had previous experience here and although he's coming down the weights and should have the class to be effective in this grade. Should go on the surface and now 9lb below the last winning mark although that win came back in 2015.

Returned to her old form last time out when winning at Chelmsford and carries a 6lb penalty here in a bid to follow up. That race was run to suit though and given her previous form here others are preferred in a competitive heat.

Forecasts

Queens Royale (5/1), Majestic Moon (11/2), Kody Ridge (6/1), Right Action (7/1), Spun Gold (8/1), Mr Christopher (8/1), Zaeem (8/1), Letmestopyouthere (12/1), Dubai Waves (12/1), Alpha Tauri (14/1), Bold Spirit (16/1), Mister Music (20/1)

16:25 Southwell - 1 February 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Just about the most competitive race on the card with seven Fibresand winners in the field and quite a few in form having met recently with both Queens Royale and Spun Gold putting their unbeaten records on the line and they should both go well. Majestic Moon looks to have a tough task to repeat his win last time out with Zaeem looking as though he could turn the form around. Right Action looks to be the best of those that have yet to experience the surface but the overall vote goes to MR CHRISTOPHER who was beaten by two of today’s rivals last time out but that was over a mile and this 7f will suit him far better.
  1. Mr Christopher
  2. Zaeem
  3. Spun Gold
