Stable going through a very quiet spell but ran respectably on first start for seven months here 16 days ago. Not beaten far then and has been eased 3lb so one worthy of serious consideration.
Ex-Irish handicapper trained by Johnny Murtagh making debut here for new connections. Has some form on A/W at Dundalk but may need a run or two to settle in to the new routine - unless market speaks otherwise.
Won 6-14 on A/W for previous connections but has failed to score in 13 starts for current yard. Easing in the weights and not beaten far last time, while first-time visor might just focus his attention here.
Well handicapped on best of old form and showed signs of a revival when fourth at big odds last time out. Apprentice rider's 7lb claim helps the cause and cannot be ruled out of it.
Hacked up at Wolverhampton on penultimate start then denied a clear run in messy race at Chelmsford last time. Seems to be on the upgrade and may well bounce back if the gaps come at the right time.
Seeking to end 25-race losing streak but is 15lb lower now than last success. Beaten just two lengths over C&D last time but may well have lost the winning habit.
Seems to like this track and won over C&D last May. Ended last season on turf in good heart but has to overcome a five month absence and yard going through a quiet spell at present.
Forecasts
Helfire (9/4), Mr Bossy Boots (4/1), Arnarson (4/1), Bobby Wheeler (5/1), Gentlemen (8/1), Fiftyshadesofgrey (10/1), Time To Reason (14/1)
ARNARSON can gain compensation for what looked an unlucky defeat last time at Chelmsford last time. He had previously bolted up at Wolverhampton and looks on the right side of the handicapper. Main danger may come from Fiftyshadesofgrey who hinted at a return to form here a few weeks ago. Bobby Wheeler and Helfire are others very much in the mix.
