Versatile sort. Heavily tasked in Class 2 company at Newbury and Kempton last month over fences. Rider takes 10lb off on return to hurdling but must bounce back and others have more to recommend them.

Mare has run just average races in three starts this term, including under 7L four of eight here in November. Now rated 5lb lower compared to when scoring over C&D in November 2016, so cannot be crossed off.

Olly Murphy has improved this mare's fortunes no end, comes here seeking a four-timer after wins at Fakenham and Ludlow before Christmas. Bumped up another 13lb (riders take off 6lb) but plenty in hand last time and should go very well again.

Trip versatile sort and hinted at a return to form at Lingfield on his return from a break before falling at the first at Wincanton earlier this month (2m5½f, heavy). Has won over this longer trip before but remains high enough in ratings.

Promising bumper winner has yet to really impress over timber. Good second at Exeter (2m7f, soft) in November when last spotted puts him in the mix though perhaps a tad unfortunate to be up 5lb for that run having undergone wind surgery since.

Excellent effort on return from break when scoring here over 2m4½f (soft) in amateur riders' handicap contest in November. Didn't appear to get the 3m at Wetherby last month and questions hang over stamina for this test as a result.

Racked up a four-timer over hurdles having joined this yard, though all wins came on good/good to firm ground. Not disgraced last month at Ascot in class 4 novice handicap contest but this ground will pose a concern.

Returned from more than 600 days off with impressive win at this course (2m4½f, heavy) earlier this month having gone off a 25/1 poke. Raised 8lb and up in trip now, bounce factor is some concern but chance on that previous success.

Forecasts

Jully Les Buxy (7/2), Saucysioux (7/2), Clondaw Bisto (4/1), Tambura (11/2), Plantagenet (7/1), Sandhurst Lad (17/2), Ballyheigue Bay (9/1), No Buts (11/1)

SAUCYSIOUX has been enjoying a brilliant spell and can give in-form handler Olly Murphy another winner. The mare has had plenty in hand in racking up a hat-trick over timber and she easily put the race away last month at Fakenham. The handicapper hasn't missed her with a 13lb hike, but a fair chunk of that is written off against Fergus Gregory's claim and she can go in again. Former C&D winner Tambura has plenty questions to answer on recent form but is well-weighted if putting things together while Clondaw Bisto, second at Exeter in November, could offer more on the back of a wind operation. Jully Les Buxy scored here three weeks ago after a long layoff, her 8lb hike is perhaps less concerning that how that run will affect her performance today.
