Well held in bumpers and novice hurdles over various trips but was beaten a long way last time out (off the bridle early). Still not got a mark and that looks to be what connections are aiming for here.

Well beaten in three bumpers so far and makes his hurdles debut here having never started at less at 100/1 and much more needed here.

Finished well held on his only bumper start and his two hurdles starts have been rather inauspicious (unseated at the first last time). Needs this run for a mark and likely to be seen to better effect once that's the case.

Caused a surprise when winning a bumper on his debut at Carlisle last April with cut in the ground. Showed some promise in his first start over hurdles but failed to progress last time out and needs to improve to get involved here.

May well have needed his first run in bumpers but finished well beaten in both of his starts in that sphere. Offered little on hurdles debut in hood and tongue-tie of which only the former is retained now.

Had shown some promise when with Tom Lacey in bumpers and over hurdles and has already gained a mark of 115. Produced his best effort to date on his debut for this yard (looked as though he would come on for the run); jumped well and capable of better.
Has a nice pedigree and was a well-backed newcomer when winning a Chepstow bumper early last year on heavy ground winning by 11L. Not seen again since and the stable are a little quiet at the moment but worth keeping an eye on in the market on hurdles debut.
Ran green and showed inexperience on his debut over hurdles at Sandown and build on that promise last time out at Newbury when finishing 4th in a big field novice. Travelled well but looked as though further would suit but looks to be one of the leading players here.

Fair form in bumpers without winning showed a similar level form on his debut over hurdles last May. Given another break he couldn't match the ability he showed on his hurdles debut (jumped poorly) and will need to improve on what he's shown so far.

His two bumper runs very much looked for experience (shaped like a stayer) and he started a big price on his hurdling debut (50/1). Race looked as though it was needed but he still showed that a stiffer test of stamina will be needed to show him in his true colours.
Form in bumpers was reasonable without being out of the ordinary and he actually went backwards on his hurdles debut. There was a little more to like about his last run (avoided mistakes this time) and needs this run for a mark.

Was expected to progress from a promising debut at Bangor when he finished third at Bangor to a couple of useful sort under a hands-and-heels ride but failed to come on for that run. The extra 2f may not have helped there and back to a bare 2m worth another chance.

Looked an awkward and unenthusiastic sort on his hurdles debut at Uttoxeter eventually unseating the rider 4 out. Cheekpieces now tried for the first time but hardly has an inspiring profile.

Cost plenty after winning on her point-to-point debut in March and started favourite for a Ludlow novice in December but ran well below expectations fading quickly. Should know more this time and given connections could well prove a different proposition this time.

Makes his hurdles debut after four runs in bumpers although he didn't totally convince last time out when tried over 2m for the first time (all previous runs over shorter). May well find others outstaying him here and needs a speed test.

14:00 Huntingdon - 12 January 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A big field go to post here and it looks quite an interesting and competitive race of its type for the track. Lad Of Luck makes his hurdles debut having won convincingly on his only bumper start and he’s worth watching in the market and First Du Charmil looks likely to come on for his last run. Both Turtle Wars and Maire Banrigh are expected to run better than when disappointing last time out while Arian will appreciate this sharper 2m. At a price though LEAPAWAY is given a chance here in a race that should be well run and he showed by the way that he travelled into a Newbury race last time out that he could win a race like this.
  1. Leapaway
  2. Turtle Wars
  3. Lad Of Luck
