Hasn't been given too much help by the handicapper recently (been off since September, and it's a slight concern his only AW win came at Southwell.

6/1
Dual C&D winner who is now back down to his last winning mark even after some promising efforts here recently. Return to this trip should suit and he has a nice draw on a surface he handles well.

Not beaten far at a price in a similar race at Lingfield last time out. Won a maiden over this trip and holds claims if transferring that form on to the Tapeta.

Not a bad effort over C&D last time but still yet to get off the mark on the AW and it has been a fair while since he got his head in front on the turf either, so he makes only limited appeal.

Won only narrowly at this course last time but has been put up 4lb by the handicapper which seems on the harsh side. Has improved for this yard, however, and may well progress again.

Ten race maiden who has shown ability on the AW but is probably better over further and may struggle to match the speed of some of these in a first-time visor.

Not beaten far in a Dundalk claimer in the middle of her three runs so far, but found two maidens at that course more difficult, and may also struggle now on handicap debut.

C&D winner at his best but form has tailed off over the last year or so in view of his advancing years. Vulnerable to younger rivals here.

Age: 4|  Weight: 8-9| J: S A Gray| T: Ian Williams| OR:  48
6/1
Seven race maiden who goes for a new yard having been tried at much longer trips for his previous handler, but hasn't looked particularly effective over any distance to date.

Whispering Soul13
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-7| J: Hollie Doyle| T: B P J Baugh| OR:  45

Only win came in a selling handicap for a previous yard. Form has tailed off since and difficult to see her getting her head back in front here.

Forecasts

Hisar (7/2), Butoolat (5/1), Pushkin Museum (6/1), Babette (6/1), Picks Pinta (7/1), Ad Vitam (8/1), Bobby Vee (14/1), Time Stands Still (14/1), Bonjour Steve (18/1), Whispering Soul (66/1)

16:35 Wolverhampton - 4 January 2018 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Hisar won at this course last time but a 4lb rise in the weights looks large enough based on what he's achieved and preference is for PUSHKIN MUSEUM. This dual C&D winner looks on a workable mark, should enjoy the return to this trip and certainly handles the surface, and so looks set for a big run after a couple of good efforts recently. Bobby Vee is another with claims after a nice effort in a similar event at Lingfield last time out, particularly if the winner of that race Billyoakes can boost the form in the first division of this.
  1. Pushkin Museum
  2. Bobby Vee
  3. Hisar
