This represents a big drop in class from the Cheltenham Grade 2 he contested last time, and on the form of his previous win over this C&D he appears to have outstanding claims. Goes well in heavy ground too.
Decent effort here over 2m4f penultimate start and only faded late on at Haydock last time. Drop back in trip not sure to suit but has some ability and looks booked for a place at least.
Has shown some promses in both starts to date and should win races. This might be a tough task, although connections are always respected and market should provide a good indication of their expectations.
39,000 euro Flemensfirth gelding, he looked in need of the run when sixth on his only start to date in a bumper here in October but may do better over timber. Likely to need more time though.
Makes his hurdling debut in this race. Some promise when third on debut in bumper last March but pulled up in heavy ground a few weeks later in similar event. Might be best watched for the time being.
Showed very little in three starts in bumpers but did better on hurdles bow when fourth here 11 months ago. Long absence a concern, and on balance others make far more appeal.
Forecasts
Better Getalong (2/11), Graystown (5/1), Le Frank (10/1), Le Gavroche (33/1), Off The Hook (50/1), Read'em And Weep (100/1), Up Helly Aa King (100/1)
BETTER GETALONG is going to prove a very tough nut to crack having finished third in a Cheltenham Grade 2 event last time out. This is much easier, so despite a penalty he is a confidfent choise. Graystown is the one most likely to keep him honest and should make a race it, while Le Frank and Le Gavroche are open to improvement and may be in the reckoning for a place.
