Displayed some quirks (he is by Scorpion) but plenty of ability when winning a Lingfield AW bumper in taking fashion earlier in the year when with Tom Lacey. Now starts life with a new yard after a break and has a penalty to cope with but can be expected to progress.
Finished a runner-up in Irish point-to-points and there are plenty of winners in the pedigree including the smart Glencove Marina. Wasn't cheap at £85,000 and comes from a yard with a good record in this sphere and well worth a market check.

Dam was a winner in bumpers and half-sister to a smart hurdler in Pittoni. Yard not known for their NH runners and this will only be their second bumper runner in the last five years; best watched on debut.

Tongue-tie goes on for his debut with his dam placed in bumpers. Finished third in an Irish point-to-point (maiden) in June; yard are 0/24 in this sphere over the last five years and others are much preferred here.

Stable are running hot in bumpers this season (7/24) and this one may well add to that tally soon having shown progress from his debut last time out. Been easy to back for one from this stable but amongst the leading contenders here and should put his experience to good use.

Breeding is more Flat based and that allowed him to cope with the speed test of his debut at Taunton (travelled well) although he did run rather green in the closing stages. Should be suited by this test and with experience on his side he's one to note here.

Not an obvious one to take from his debut when he finished in midfield at Newbury looking in need of the experience. That may not have been a bad bumper as the third and sixth won next time out and he could step forward here given he comes from a decent yard.

A €105,000 three-year-old his dam was twice placed in bumpers and she is related to plenty of winners so there is some hope to be gained from his pedigree. Yard are steady rather than prolific in this sphere but he should be noted in the betting.
Fairly cheap purchase as a four-year-old (€6,500) and is a half-brother to modest hurdler /chaser Change The Rules. Dam was of little account on the Flat and yard are 0/6 in this sphere this season; others appear more likely winners.

Interesting sort who hasn't been seen since winning an Irish maiden point-to-point in April 2015 (useful hurdler Jury Duty was back in third) and makes some appeal on pedigree having cost €120,000. Given his connections a market check is advised on his Rules debut.

Debutante out of a dam who ran once over hurdles but is a half-brother to a bumper winner in Troyan. Yard have a fairly modest strike-rate in this discipline and he's one for the watch list on debut.

Yard are not noted for their bumper winner (5% strike rate in last five years) although this one has shown ability in his two starts so far. Pulled very hard on his debut but looked more the finished article on his next start (travelled well) when finishing second; worth keeping onside.
Yard are yet to have a bumper winner this season (0/15) but this one does makes some appeal on pedigree being a half-sister to several winners. Worth a glance in the betting as she makes her debut although others do look a little stronger.

Failed to show much in three bumpers so far and now is hooded for the first time having gone backwards in two starts since her debut. Others make far more appeal on what she has shown so far.

15:35 Huntingdon - 26 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A big field goes to post for this closing bumper and there’s the usual mix of pedigrees and ability on show with eight of the field making their debuts. The Big Bite is the only previous winner in the field as he makes his debut for Tom George having scored under very different conditions on his debut; if his quirks can be kept in check he could defy his penalty here. Malachite probably sets the standard in form terms and comes from a yard (Nicky Henderson) in sparkling form although he looks a slow burner and PERSONAL COACH is given the nod granted that this may be a speed test. That may well suit this son of Motivator who showed ability on his debut at Taunton. There is bound to be something lurking amongst the newcomers with Six Gun Serenade and Commodore Barry being two well worth watching in the market.
