Looked good over this trip at Wetherby on his chase debut when an 11L winner, but couldn't quite repeat that here over further on desperate ground last month. Has to cope with conditions again, but drop in trip will help and he looks tough to beat.

Made a successful reappearance/chase debut at Bangor earlier in the month, when making all and jumping well. Looks to be more to come and he handles testing ground, so likely to be very competitive again under his penalty.

Yet to finish out of the frame on heavy (two wins) and also goes well here. Rated 149 over hurdles and if he can run to that sort of level on his chase debut then he would be thereabouts. No fitness issues after reappearance here last month.

12:25 Haydock - 23 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A fascinating contest in prospect with three of the four all possible winners on paper. Testify made a promising debut over fences at Bangor and looks a surefire improver, while Clyne loves it here and was just the best of them over hurdles. If he jumps clear then he has decent claims in receipt of weight from the penalised pair. However, experience could count for plenty and so BORN SURVIVOR, who looked good over a similar trip at Wetherby and ran well for a long way here in a graduation chase last time, is just given the vote.
