Highly tried since his last success almost two years ago which came here over fences. Good effort on ground faster than ideal last month and back into a grade where he is 2-3 with top lady amateur on board.

Has claimed a hat-trick of hurdles successes in claimers and seller when heavily favoured by the weights. Will be much harder back in handicap company but trainer has done a remarkable job so far.

Has won his lat three on the Flat but has finished last of all in three intervening runs over hurdles. Good rider booked but probably just too high in the weights for the time being.

Soon in trouble off this mark at Warwick last time and possible the run came too soon after a hard race at the same track 12 days earlier. Hard to argue he is well-handicapped and others are more appealing.

Has been well supported on each run since arriving from France. Potentially well-treated if capable trainer can unlock the potential and an experienced Irish amateur has been brought over to ride.

Has not run over hurdles since 2013 and ideally suited to quicker ground than forecast for this meeting. Inexperienced rider on board and others are more interesting.

Put an end to a long losing run at Ffos Las in June capitalising on a falling mark. 3lb higher here but has chances now dropping in class after a decent effort last time.

Beaten a long way when third in a claimer here two weeks ago. Has a lot of work to do in this company if he is to shed his maiden tag.

Won a Newton Abbot bumper for John Ferguson in 2015 but then well beaten in two starts over hurdles. Has picked up a couple of Flat races in France since but probably best watched on debut for new yard following nine months off.

Forecasts

Cloonacool (2/1), Litterale Ci (7/2), Inn The Bull (5/1), Prussian Eagle (6/1), Ascendant (8/1), Nefyn Bay (8/1), Lincoln County (14/1), Dovils Date (16/1), Stuccodor (20/1), Tindaro (28/1)

15:05 Ludlow - 20 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Litterale Ci was initially highly tried when arriving from France and has clearly not lived up to expectations given the market support she has attracted. This is another attractive opportunity for her but the risk reward ratio may not be generous enough to warrant support. CLOONACOOL has an excellent record in this company and has a top amateur on board. His latest run is all the more commendable as conditions would have been too quick and, despite topweight, he looks leniently treated. Nefyn Bay, representing a local yard who are in form and with a capable rider on board, looks best of the rest.
