Equinao gelding who filled the rear division when seventh of nine to Count Otto over 6f here late last month, and needs to build quickly upon that initial racecourse experience.

9/2
Son of Dutch Art who cost 52,000 gns as a yearling. Shaped with promise on debut over C&D when dead-heating for fourth behind Qaysar in mid to late November. Hopes must be high that this half-brother to seven winners has taken plenty on board.

6/1
Unraced fifth living foal by Oasis Dream out of the smart Argentinian mare Que Puntual (200,000 gns vendor yearling). Half-brother to various winners including Oceanographer and Enthusiastic, so has to figure on the shortlist.

Unraced second foal by Sepoy out of Emily Carr. A half-brother to the 6f placed (maiden) Canadian Royal. Likely to benefit from this experience.

Went under by ¾L on his second start at Newcastle in mid October (6f) which was a step up from his Newbury debut the previous month. Upped in trip now in the first time visor, so definitely one to consider.

150/1
Equiano colt who was slowly away on debut (6f) here last week and never figured in a race won by Monadee. Needs to be much sharper tonight, but not necessarily expected to be so.

4/1
Unraced fifth foal by Kodiac out of White Dress. Fetched 38,000 gns as a foal, but that increased to a whopping 150,000 gns as a juvenile. Half-bother to a couple of winners (Snoano and Tulip Dress), so looks an intriguing newcomer.

Unraced fifth foal by Al Kazeem out of Artful. Carries the Royal Silks, but wears a hood on debut. Half-sister to 6f juvenile Listed winner Duplicity.

16:40 Kempton - 20 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The benchmark for the newcomers isn't set particularly high in this contest, so the market promises to be informative with regards the chances of the likes of Stealth, Craftiness, Mr Ritz and Michael Corleone. Of those with experience, Royal Residence showed enough at Newcastle to suggest he's more than capable of winning a race, but the application of the first time visor does make one a fraction cautious. Therefore, in an open contest, the best advice is an each-way play with LA MAQUINA. The George Baker trained colt is a half-brother to seven winners, and shaped as if he'd benefit immeasurably for the experience when getting the message late in the race on debut over C&D last month.
  1. La Maquina
  2. Stealth
  3. Mr Ritz
