11/2
Has been a winner in point-to-points earlier in his career and appears much better over fences than he was over hurdles having run three very sound races since his return from a break. Finished runner-up three times and needs a test of stamina; unsuited by speed test last time out.

His chasing runs so far have shown that he has an aptitude for the job and he very much went like the best horse at the weights last time at Wetherby and it was rather disappointing that he didn't get the job done. Visor retained and slightly up in grade off 3lb higher' should be competitive.

7/2
A versatile sort his back-to-back wins of late have come under very different conditions but he's shown a liking for the course (win here twice). He travels well and there must be hope that he can stay this trip having won over 2m last time off a 4lb lower mark.

7/2
Usually seen in the Hunter Chase sphere (won one in April) he made the successful transition to handicaps at Kelso in October (without usual headgear) off a mark of 89. Would want too much give in the ground and faces a few progressive types here; may be found wanting.

From a yard that have had some with their GB raids although the chance of this one wouldn't be obvious. Has little form in this sphere and ran to a poor level over hurdles last time off a 4lb higher mark and not hard to pass over.

Not the most consistent and makes her first start for this yard having previously been with Sam England. 7lb below her last winning mark but that came over hurdles and her jumping the last time she was seen over fences was poor; one to be wary of.

Forecasts

Doktor Glaz (13/8), Havana Jack (7/2), John Williams (7/2), An Laoch (11/2), Shanroe Street (6/1), Rancher Lass (9/1), Nicki's Nipper (28/1)

14:50 Musselburgh - 18 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The finishing effort of Doktor Glaz was a little bit disappointing at Wetherby and he’ll need to finish off his race better to score here although he did travel well throughout that race. John Williams is another strong travelling sort who goes well around here but there must be a question mark about the trip for this one. Shanroe Street returns from a break and looks to need some help from the handicapper and this is most likely best left to AN LAOCH who will be much better suited by this drop in class and stamina test than the speed tests that he’s been handed on his last two starts.
  1. An Laoch
  2. Doktor Glaz
  3. John Williams
