Enjoyed a drop in class to win a mile handicap off 75 when with Hugo Palmer on the Flat having won a maiden on his debut on the AW over the same trip. Showed very little on his hurdling debut for this yard though and infinitely more needed here.

APPLE'S SHAKIRA stamped her authority on the Triumph Hurdle market when thumping her opposition on debut here last month and it will rank as a major surprise should she not prove up to the follow-up bid now. She was backed like a good thing on that occasion and had her race sewn up some way from home, beating a decent yardstick as she did. Nube Negra also made an impressive start for Dan Skelton at Market Rasen last month, pulling away from the re-opposing Knight Destroyer and further improvement makes her the likeliest threat to the selection.
