Only had the five starts and came good at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, overcoming some greenness to score with a bit more in hand than the official margin. Quickly turned out under a penalty and every chance of the follow-up, with improvement likely.

Something of a win machine back in the day, less so now but still capable when the mood takes him. Step back up to a mile may suit after a couple of one-paced efforts over shorter, and on a fair mark, so has each-way claims at least.

Easy winner here over 7f in early November and although the handicapper punished him for it, still gives the impression this mark is workable. Worth another go at a mile but will need to cheat a poor draw here. Not out of it, but others preferred.

Would appreciate a strong pace at this trip, which he may get with a couple of front-runners in attendance. Legitimate excuses since Kempton win in February but likely to need this after an absence anyway.

First run for new yard tonight (formerly with Gary Moore), better class than this at best but recent form suggests he's going nowhere fast at present. Needs the change of scenery to have bucked his ideas up a bit.

Has put in a series of consistent efforts this autumn and hasn't yet gained due reward for them, but went close to putting that right over C&D last time and may yet break the door down., Draw okay for one that likes to be dropped in, and chances.

No win in nine starts but put in a good run came over this C&D last November, finishing second in a similar handicap to tonight. In decent form at present too, draw is a little offputting but can't be discounted.

Handicapper starting to give her a bit more of a chance after some moderate runs but in truth, she doesn't really look as if she's about to take advantage. Likely to stay on late when it's all over, but is at least nicely drawn.

Didn't do too badly at Kempton last week but that was in lower grade than tonight's, so needs a step forward form-wise. Trip and track fine, but yard struggling for winners, and not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Only one win in 36 starts tells it's own story, but does at least have a decent record over C&D and ran respectably here two starts ago, staying on late to nab a place. That's a likely scenario again here, and appeals more place purposes.

Well beaten all four starts at Dundalk for Dermot Murphy, showing little, and although new yard go straight for the tongue-tie in an effort to turn his fortunes around, it will need to have a major effect.

Hard to win with, but is at least running with a bit of consistency at the moment, which is more than a few here are doing. Not beaten far in lower grade at Kempton last week but the worry is the track, as he's never performed well here in the past.

No win in 28 starts from previous yard, but of some interest as it's the first runner for Suzi Best, taking over from husband Jim. New headgear tried, trip and track fine, and is at least worth a glance in the market.

Just the 3 wins in 42 starts for his previous yards, and was capable of form in better grade than this, but very likely to need this first run for over two years. Best watched unless there's heavy market support.

Like many here, hard to win with, with just the 3 wins in 40-odd starts to show for her efforts, but does at least like the track and is a C&D winner in the past. Not beaten far here when last seen in September and may go okay at a price.

Showed a glimmer of ability for his new yard at Southwell on Monday but not really enough to make him of major interest here. Yet to win in 16 starts and unlikely to break his duck here.

20:15 Chelmsford City - 8 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This looks no more difficult than the contest BIG BAD LOL took at Wolverhampton earlier in the week and if he's in the same form, the others will need to find some improvement to get in front of him. He looks an automatic choice here. Dor's Law doesn't look particularly well drawn but it may not matter as he's likely to be dropped in anyway, but he can come home with a rattle to take second. Ertidaad needs a look in the market if nothing else, as support would be interesting.
  1. Big Bad Lol
  2. Dor's Law
  3. Ertidaad
