10-1 and ran well for a long way on his hurdling debut at Kempton last month over a slightly longer trip. Was in it until two out there, so could be suited by this and if handling these much slower conditions he should be thereabouts.
Sole success came over fences at Carlisle (2m, soft) in February but handicapper now in control in that discipline, so back over hurdles. Looks to have plenty on his plate.
Has put in a couple of promising efforts over hurdles, the most recent at Ayr (2m4½f, heavy) being the better. Entitled to respect on that basis, though likely that he will again find something with a bit too much for him in this line-up.
Won an Irish point-to-point (at the sixth attempt) in April. Made a pleasing rules debut when 9-2 and a 2L runner-up in a Southwell bumper in October. Now goes back over obstacles and that plus longer trip can elicit improvement. Not ruled out.
Ludlow bumper winner (good) in April. 25-1 but made a good debut over hurdles at Aintree last month (2m4f, good to soft), finishing ahead of a subsequent Listed winner. Has it to prove on the ground, but enters calculations nonetheless.

Conditions are a bit of a concern for both Duke Debarry and Spider's Bite going into this, as both have the sort of credentials that make them otherwise well worth consideration. However, RAVENSDALE won his point-to-point on soft ground and being by Flemensfirth there is a good chance he will handle it bottomless, so he might be able to make a winning debut over hurdles. Graystown is another proven with cut underfoot and he is not taken on lightly.
