Horse silk
50/1
Only moderate form in point-to-points (finished fifth at Lingstown two weeks ago most recently), and needs to come one from those performances on debut under rules.

50/1
Martaline gelding who cost €8,500 as a three-year-old. Half-brother to a couple of bumper winners but pedigree generally unexciting and others preferred.

9/4
Not beaten far into second by a nice prospect in Red Jack on debut at Fairyhouse in April. Off since but this is easier and looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark.
Getabird half-brother to a three time winner over hurdles, though those all came over longer trips than this and he may appreciate more of a test in time.
5
Horse silk
12/1
Pulled-up in two point-to-points, but represents top connections and every chance that he could do better on this debut under rules.
Getaway gelding who cost €32,000 as a foal. From the family of Glens Melody and Glens Harmony and perhaps one of the likelier newcomers.
7
Horse silk
33/1
Beaten 22L into fifth of eight on debut at Roscommon in September, and needs to improve from that in order to play a part in this.
8
Horse silk
6/1
Point-to-point winner who makes his debut under rules here. Should probably be better over further in time but still looks a nice prospect.
€70,000 purchase as a three-year-old who has a nice pedigree. Represents a top trainer and one to watch on this racecourse debut.
10
Horse silk
7/1
Gold Well gelding who cost €33,000 as a three-year-old, and is worth a check in the market on debut for top connections.
Point-to-point winner who makes his debut under rules here for a top trainer. Cost £120,000 in June and is an interesting newcomer.

Finished fourth at Wexford last time which was a big improvement on his Navan debut, but a similar step up will be required for him to enter contention here.

10/1
Failed to build on the promise shown on debut when finishing only sixth at Limerick in March (had been even money favourite). Needs to improve on that here.
14
Horse silk
33/1
Bushranger Gelding with a fair pedigree, related to lots of winners including of some good races on the Flat, but relations have been less impressive under National Hunt rules.
15
Horse silk
33/1
Kalanisi filly who cost €2,200 as a three-year-old, and comes from a yard not renowned for its winners in these contests.

Forecasts

Dinons (9/4), Imperial Grey (3/1), Heroesandvillains (6/1), Lone Wolf (7/1), Moonshine Bay (7/1), Remastered (10/1), Extrapolate (12/1), Downtown Getaway (14/1), Forty One Winks (16/1), Fr Gilligansvoyge (33/1), Zara's Ranger (33/1), Mollys Boxty (33/1), Nameloc (50/1), Castiel (50/1), Bazarov (50/1)

15:40 Fairyhouse - 3 December 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The form of the bumper DINONS was runner-up in back in April is working out well, and he looks to be the one to side with on his second start here. Representing a top trainer in Gordon Elliott, he is also ridden by a talented amateur in Jamie Codd and should find this easier than his debut effort. Point-to-point winner Moonshine Bay and Willie Mullins newcomer Imperial Grey are others to consider.
  1. Dinons
  2. Moonshine Bay
  3. Imperial Grey
