No match for a 1/12 shot last time but improved for the step up to a mile. A half-brother to St Leger winner Harbour Law, he again left the impression he may want further than this.
Runner-up in Redcar seller last time which at least showed his effectiveness on a slow surface. Yet to race here but nevertheless requires a couple of these to underachieve.
Yet to make much of an impact and hard to assess what will be his optimum distance given that he's failed to shine at anything between 7f up to 1m4f. Blinkered for the first time but his prospects look bleak.
Highest rated of those to have achieved a BHA mark. Hood removed and takes a keen hold so carries some risks. Makes Fibresand debut but sire's stock are 6-29 on it. First start for trainer who has done well with his acquisitions from other yards.
Has a BHA rating of 31 which gives her 36lb to find with Isstoora. Has finished last of all on last four starts and easier to see her occupying that position than landing this modest prize.
Forecasts
Isstoora (4/7), Flying Raconteur (5/2), Siyahamba (8/1), Stragar (20/1), New Tale (25/1), Just Heather (100/1)
ISSTOORA and Flying Raconteur are the two to concentrate on. The former debuts for her new trainer at a modest level and on a track where her pedigree suggests she should perform. She can be hard to settle and there is no obvious pacemaker in this, but she is the standout candidate on form. Flying Raconteur was no match for a hot favourite last time. He had little of note behind him and probably needs further than this, particularly as this may prove a tactical affair.
