Makes his debut for a new yard having shown only mild encouragement at Huntingdon when with Giles Bravery. Will certainly need to show more progress to take a hand in this.

Stable have a decent strike-rate in bumpers although they are yet to strike in this discipline this season (0/12). This one is a half-brother to five winners and the jockey booking suggests that he's expected to go well in this.
Cost £18,000 in May with the dam being a fairly useful 1m2f Flat winner with winner through what is a decent pedigree. Makes his debut here for a yard in good form and a 4/11 bumper record this season.
Newcomer from a yard with a good record in bumpers (35% strike-rate this season) whose dam was a winner over a mile. Given his pedigree and stable hard to ignore his chance in this and should go well.

Well held in a junior bumper at Exeter on debut last month he would need to show more here to take a hand and faces what look to be some useful newcomers.

Half-brother to three winners on the Flat but didn't show that much on his debut in a junior bumper at Carlisle earlier in the month. Unable to sustain his effort in that and faces a tough task here.

Half-brother to useful bumper winner/hurdler Samcro with some other decent relations in the pedigree. Rare bumper winner for this ostensibly Flat orientated yard who have only had four runners in this sphere in last five years; watch in the market.
Yard have a reasonable strike-rate with their bumper runners (13%) and this one is worth a glance on debut. Half-brother to smart chaser Croco Bay and worthy of respect here.
From a good stable that are riding on the crest of the wave after some big race victories. Cost €16,000 as a three-year-old and no surprise if he features here from a yard that are already 4/20 in bumpers this year.

16/1
Made her debut in a junior bumper at Exeter (Mr Brownstone behind) and looks more one for speed than stamina and may well get found out over this tough finish.
Comes from a yard not known for their winners in this sphere (0/15 last five years) but did show a little bit of ability on her only start so far in this discipline. May show a little more here but likely to succumb to a newcomer.
Half-sister to five winners two of which were useful on the Flat. Hooded for debut with the stable 0/23 in the last five years in bumpers.

Forecasts

Laughing Luis (9/4), Topofthecotswolds (9/2), Involve (11/2), Azumini (13/2), Thistle Do Nicely (8/1), Righteous River (10/1), Avarchie (11/1), Cooling (16/1), Think Positive (25/1), Tuppence Coloured (25/1), Test Ride (25/1), Mr Brownstone (50/1)

The form of the five that have had a run so far isn’t that exciting and this looks as though it will go the way of a newcomer with some of that ilk that could be useful. LAUGHING LUIS comes from one of the stables that always need to be respected in bumpers and he’s given the vote here to open his account on debut. Azumini is another who takes the eye with Richard Johnson booked while the Twiston-Davies stable run Topofthecotswolds and he can’t be ignored with the yard’s record in bumpers. Involve is another debutante who makes plenty of appeal especially with the Bailey yard going well with the well-bred Think Positive a fascinating contender from a mainly Flat-based yard; he should be watched in the market.
  1. Laughing Luis
  2. Involve
  3. Think Positive
