Another yard that do very well with their bumper runners (5-13 in bumpers last five seasons in England/Scotland) and this one has been well fancied on both starts to date. Form shown just about sets the standard, so has to be taken seriously.

14/1
Some promise to be taken from the pedigree but it does suggest we won't see the best of him for some time, and the yard are just 8-105 in bumpers last five years.

Karamoko31
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: R D Day(3)| T: N G Richards
4/1
Bred to have a bit more speed than a few of these, and a sharp test on good ground promises to be ideal. Made a perfectly satisfactory start to career when second at Ayr (soft ground) and should come on from that (ran green). Chances here.
4
Horse silk
100/1
Far from disgraced in a Peeth bumper in August but couldn't reproduce that effort next time out at Hexham, although heavy ground there a possible excuse. May do better here and not to be ignored at a price.
5
Horse silk
14/1
No great stars in the pedigree but is bred to have a bit of speed about him, and the yard do get the occasional bumper winner. Yard going well too, so is at least worth a look in the market, if nothing else.
6
Horse silk
12/1
Has won a point-to-point (in April) but it was only a low-grade event. Breeding suggests this is going to be too sharp a test and is best watched.
7
Horse silk
100/1
Well beaten in two starts to date and although this better ground may help the situation, it's still hard to see him being good enough.

7/2
Placed in a point-to-point and a good first effort under Rules when third at Ludlow earlier in the month, holding every chance. Ground no issue and if building on that, no reason not to go close for a yard that get winners in the sphere.
9
Horse silk
11/4
Cheap purchase but related to plenty of Flat winners, and this sort of test could be ideal. Only just beaten on debut at Wetherby in March, and if fit for this reappearance, ought to be in the firing line. Definite player.
10
Horse silk
25/1
On pedigree, this sort of sharp test looks ideal, so has that going for him, but yard not really known for bumper winners (and are 0-5 here last five seasons). Probably best watched unless market says otherwise.
Pedigree suggests we won't see the best of this one until seeing some obstacles, and with the yard just 1-21 in bumpers last five years, others readily make more appeal.
Appeared to be getting the hang of things on her second start at Kelso, running better than she had earlier in the year, and given yard are 2-12 in bumpers here last five years, she's at least worth a glance in the market. May progress.
Will surely want further than this on breeding and yard are 0-9 in bumpers here last five years. Others make more appeal on paper.

Forecasts

Town Head (11/4), Sonic (7/2), Karamoko (4/1), Cherokee Prince (6/1), Lovely Schtuff (12/1), Colby (14/1), L'etoile (14/1), Sayyestothedress (14/1), Eternally Yours (16/1), Wor Verge (25/1), Rubydoobs (25/1), Kennedys Field (100/1), Prince Florbury (100/1)

15:30 Musselburgh - 30 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

As ever with these contests, the market will be the best guide, but TOWN HEAD makes plenty of appeal after a very solid debut, and can come out on top. Karamoko could be the one to give him most to do, as this sharp test could be just what he requires. Sonic is progressing and should go well, along with Cherokee Prince, who may well attract support once again.
  1. Town Head
  2. Karamoko
  3. Sonic
