Only fair on the Flat when with Ivan Furtado but his start to his hurdles career was rather inauspicious (pulled hard) and will need to show much more to score in this.

Towards the head of the market on his on his bumper debut but ran very green and showed only limited promise. Took a keen hold there and will need to settle better on his hurdles debut.

Well held on his only run in a bumper when trained in Ireland it was much the same story for this yard on his hurdles/stable debut at Bangor. Showed a little more ability but may be more of a long-term project over hurdles.

Useful handicapper on the Flat with wins to his name at up to 1m2f with the last win coming off a mark of 96. If he takes to hurdles he obviously has a leading chance for a yard that have had some decent hurdlers.

Cost €28,000 as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to a couple of bumper winners. Likely to be best watched on debut with the experience one that brings him on.
Modest form in his only bumper when midfield at Bangor last January running green during the closing stages. Hurdles debut was one that showed little promise and his best chance will come in handicaps down the line.

Form in bumpers was fairly useful scoring on the last two of them defying a penalty for the second win. Easy to back when switched to hurdles last month but shaped with plenty of encouragement looking as though the experience would bring her on; leading chance.

50/1
Second in a maiden point-to-point last year her hurdles form is relatively poor having been pulled-up on debut and then finishing well beaten on her second start. Would take plenty of improvement to make a mark back from a break.

Forecasts

Melangerie (7/4), Speed Company (2/1), Destrier (7/2), Doc Carver (6/1), Bridey's Lettuce (33/1), Voodoo Doll (33/1), Robin Deuz Pois (50/1), Yellow Kangaroo (100/1)

15:50 Leicester - 20 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not the strongest novice hurdle to finish off the card with dual bumper winner MELANGERIE just given the nod over decent Flat handicapper Speed Company; experience may just give her the edge. Beyond that pairing Destrier and Doc Carver look to be the only dangers to the main two players in this.
  1. Melangerie
  2. Speed Company
  3. Destrier
