Over two years since last hurdle win but handicap mark falling all the time and 9lb lighter than when last seen over smaller obstacles despite a good fourth that day. Top weight but will love these conditions and should go well.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Thomas Garner(3)| T: B Barr| OR:  109| D

Only beat two rivals in last three starts in the summer. Back to last winning mark now and could go well with a break to freshen him up so not totally ruled out although trip on the sharp side these days.

Horse silk
Lord Fendaleh21
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Miss Jodie Hughes(7)| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  109| D
25/1
Tipperary maiden hurdle winner who then ran well at Cork. Showed nothing however in two starts for this yard so questions to answer now although his handicap mark is appealing.

Age: 4|  Weight: 11-10| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  107

Ex-flat horse has shown far better form the two times he has encountered good ground over hurdles. Good third at Ludlow last time out and should be more to come for trainer in fine form.

Age: 4|  Weight: 11-10| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King| OR:  107
9/1
Flat maiden who put in an improved display in his second hurdle start before a shade disappointing latest. Cheek-pieces fitted here for handicap debut and not ruled out with good ground perhaps what he favours.

Tailed off on reappearance at Exeter last time out. Competitive off this mark in the past including earlier this year but last run a big worry.
7

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: A Glassonbury| T: G Harris| OR:  105| D

Started well for this yard in the summer with a win and a second in August but struggled with higher marks since. Disappointing effort last time at Exeter cause for concern so best avoided at present.

Elysian Princet14
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: T E Whelan| T: N B King| OR:  104| D
8/1
Only 1lb higher now than the mark he gained his lone win off back in April. Fair second last time out when dropped into selling company for the first time but this a notch or two better so more needed.

Goalp,t30
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-7| J: Miss Brodie Hampson(5)| T: Miss T Watkins| OR:  104| CD

Won over course and distance in January to complete a quick double. Handicapper seemed to have his measure since and unseated last time out so up against it unless return to this course sparks a revival.

Status Quoh,t36
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-4| J: Kieron Edgar(3)| T: H Fry| OR:  101

Relatively lightly raced and travelled well before fading on handicap and seasonal debut last time out. 4lb lighter today and trainer in cracking form so fully expecting better.

Horse silk
Glance Backt263
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: James Banks| T: Mrs E Bishop| OR:  100

Front-runner although more by his own insistence than design. Often pays the price for his early exuberance and not obviously well treated here on handicap debut.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-1| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR:  98

Unable to capitalise on potentially favourable mark in six flat starts in the summer. 12L fourth to Goal on penultimate handicap start and he is 4lb lighter now. Conditions to suit but more needed.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Paul O'Brien(5)| T: Mrs H R J Nelmes| OR:  94

Career best second of nine here last time in a maiden hurdle, only going down by a head. Previous run here also good so seems to enjoy the track. Still a maiden but ought to run well.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Bridget Andrews(3)| T: D Skelton| OR:  94
9/2
Notable eye-catcher under a different apprentice rider last time out at Ludlow when given far too much to do but she fairly flew home for second. Only 1lb higher today and looks to have a good chance off this weight.

Only beaten three rivals in three starts for this yard and pulled up latest at Exeter. Another change in headgear does little to inspire.

The eye-catching effort of OSCAR'S SONG last time out suggests that winning off such a mark should be well within her compass and granted a better ride under a very good apprentice she ought to take all of the beating. New Millennium also ran well last time out and there aren't too many miles on the clock with him so he could be ready to step forward, especially given the form of the Hobbs team. There are a few here with modest form but reason to suggest improvement and the best of them could well be Status Quo.
