Placed in five of his seven starts so far, including over hurdles last time. Reverts to a bumper and if he could maintain his usual standard then he has definite claims, although a slight concern that he keeps finding something to beat him.

Showed a bit of improvement for his Killarney debut from May when runner-up, beaten 6½L, at Galway on his return last month. That was very encouraging and with fitness not an issue he could go very close this time.
10-1 but never a threat on debut at Wexford (2m, soft) last month. As a half-brother to a bumper winner, there is no reason why he can't win one of these in time, but he will need a good improvement on his debut to do so today.

Point-to-point winner in February and already placed (beaten just 1L) in one of these races at Cork in April. Well beaten on his last two runs and the suspicion is that he is better when the ground is not quite so testing as forecast.

Well beaten in a point-to-point in March 2016 and not seen since. Dam won a bumper and is full-sister to a useful 2m4f chase winner and half-sister to a 2m-2m4f hurdle/chase winner. Should be able to give a good account.
Point-to-point winner who has been hit-and-miss in bumpers so far. Put up her best effort last time when a 6L fourth of 18 here in May (good). Has something to build on there, handles cut and has place claims.
Unable to make the frame three point-to-points and two maiden hurdles at Tramore and Ballinrobe since racing under rules. Now reverts to a bumper and other than her half-sister having won one, she is impossible to recommend this time.

Forecasts

Warlike Intent (5/6), Monstrosity (5/2), Allardyce (9/2), Smithscorner (20/1), Flirting Lesa (25/1), Play The Dane (40/1), Michael's Bird (100/1)

15:55 Clonmel - 16 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Allardyce sets the standard on what he has done so far, but it is always a concern to see a horse being consistently placed but unable to get his nose in front and we will take him on again here, this time with MONSTROSITY. Noel Meade's gelding is less exposed and, while he too has been placed twice, he gives the impression that he remains on an upward curve. Warlike Intent could pose a threat on his rules debut, while Flirting Lesa looks next best.
  1. Monstrosity
  2. Warlike Intent
  3. Allardyce
