Be My Vinnie43
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-11| J: E O'Connell(7)| T: E O'Connell| OR:  93
4/1
Won just once in 12 starts, over 3m at Limerick in March (soft), and remains 6lb above his last winning mark, albeit with his close up third at Ballinrobe in late September (2m4f) franked by the first two since.
2
Horse silk
Queeny20
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-10| J: R A Doyle(5)| T: R O'Leary| OR:  92
16/1
A winner over 3m1f at Kilbeggan in June (soft), but has struggled for form since, and appeared to find 2m7f on the sharp side at Thurles latest.
3
Horse silk
Cottonvaleh113
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: B J Foley(5)| T: E Doyle| OR:  90
11/2
In the frame twice at Downpatrick in recent months, but hasn't looked an obvious future winner, and his trainer now reaches for the first time hood seeking more.
4
Horse silk
Flathertys Gap258
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: J J Slevin(3)| T: L Whitmore| OR:  88
33/1
An eight race maiden under rules, who showed up well when beaten 1L at Tramore in December 2016 (2m heavy), but has pulled up on both subsequent starts.
5
Horse silk
Goodthynemilant166
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| OR:  88
4/1
Her overall career record now reads 1 from 18, and she remains an 11 race maiden under rules. Last seen over fences for Denis Ahern, she is switched back to hurdles and tongue tied on her first start for a new trainer.
6
Horse silk
The Church Gatep,t17
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: A E Lynch| T: M J Smith| OR:  88
7/2
A 15 race maiden whose last couple of starts have come over fences. However, has various bits and pieces of placed form in March, and is closely matched with Be My Vinnie, so could represent some value.
7
Horse silk
Zagnzig8
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Mr N Gault(7)| T: H Smyth| OR:  87
12/1
Beaten just over 5L when third to Roja Dove over 2m here last week (soft), she looks slightly vulnerable over this longer trip and finished a couple of places behind Be My Vinnie at Ballinrobe in September.
9
Horse silk
Glen's Ddh17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: M A Enright| T: G J Power| OR:  84
20/1
An 11 race all codes maiden who could feasibly strip fitter for a fair comeback sixth at Wexford last month (3m heavy), but needs to find improvement on her eighth start over timber.
10
Horse silk
Pound A Stroke13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: S W Flanagan| T: E McCarthy| OR:  84
40/1
Not shown any worthwhile form so far, including on handicap debut at Clonmel (2m4f soft) earlier this month.
11
Horse silk
Accordion Twilight318
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-0| J: R Loughran| T: W J Lanigan| OR:  82
33/1
A shock 50/1 winner at Limerick in May 2015, but perhaps no surprise he's not threatened to build upon that success since. Unproven over this trip, with the majority of his races coming over 2m.
12
Horse silk
Carrow Queenp55
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-12| J: R P Treacy(5)| T: V T O'Brien| OR:  80
40/1
Unable to score from this mark of 80 in any of her last 11 starts, so little reason to expect she'll be breaking that sequence anytime soon. A winner just once in 38 starts over obstacles.
13
Horse silk
Lizzies Wayp,t13
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: K J Brouder(7)| T: S Ryan| OR:  80
33/1
Not kicked on from a fair handicap debut at Cork in August 2015, and has had more than enough chances since to break her duck. A 15 race career maiden, and likely to be 16 after this race.
14
Horse silk
Paddy's Orient39
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: B Hayes| T: P A Fahy| OR:  80
10/1
Has had less opportunities than some of the others, but still hard to build a case for this six-year-old. Finished in the ruck when eighth to Dromore Lad over C&D last month.
15
Horse silk
Shantelle13
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: D E Mullins| T: R Donohoe| OR:  80
66/1
Poor form throughout her ten race career, and whilst this is just her third start in a handicap, she looks one to be crossed out fairly quickly.
16
Horse silk
In A Pinch33
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: Mr L P Gilligan(7)| T: S Slevin| OR:  83
33/1
A six race maiden who was beaten 26L when fifth to Poormans Hill on handicap debut at Downpatrick (2m6f+ yielding) last month.

15:25 Fairyhouse - 15 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Division 1 of the concluding 2m4f handicap hurdle, and not a great deal of obvious strength in depth as one might expect given the grade. Be My Vinnie is an obvious starting point, and at first glance he appears high in the weights now 6lb higher for his 3m success at Limerick in March. However, his Ballinrobe effort in September reads well, with both Eiri Na Casca (Thurles) and Granny Biddy (twice at Cork) winning since. However, if you dig back into that Limerick contest, it's possible to build a solid case for the 15 race maiden THE CHURCH GATE. Ignoring his more recent efforts over fences, he was twice a runner up over hurdles during March, including when grabbed on the line by Be My Vinnie, and he could prove best suited by this reduced trip of 2m4f.
  1. The Church Gate
  2. Be My Vinnie
  3. Paddy's Orient
