Fern Owl23
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D Meyler| T: E Doyle
100/1
Ex-Hughie Morrison inmate was a decent, multiple winner on the Flat in Britain but produced pretty lifeless efforts on his first three hurdling outings for this yard. Others appeal more.

Laverteen13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: A W Short(7)| T: N Meade
14/1
Decent bumper winner at Navan (heavy) back in March and has shown up well in both starts over hurdles this season, only going down by 4L to the ill-fated Lucky Pass at Galway. Likely to be in the mix.
3

Next Destination198
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: P Townend| T: W P Mullins| BF
4/1
Smart bumper performer, having won twice on soft before finishing a close up fourth in the Champion Bumper on quicker ground. Exciting hurdles prospect this season and very much one to consider.
4

Niebieski13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: K C Sexton| T: M J Smith
100/1
Fair middle-distance performer on the Flat in France with a couple of wins on his CV but failed to attract market support on his hurdling debut for this yard at Galway last month and duly fell at the first.

Pallasator23
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: K M Donoghue| T: G Elliott
2/1
One-time smart stayer on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, having win a Group 2, but seemingly on the decline this year. Very interesting to see what Gordon Elliott can do with him over hurdles.
6

7/4
Cost €160,000 and made a winning start in a Fairyhouse bumper before finishing an excellent second behind Fayonagh in a Grade 1 at Punchestown. Another hugely exciting hurdling prospect and holds obvious appeal.
Not a lot in the pedigree or profile which takes the eye, particularly with the yard struggling for winners. Likely to be a big price.

Sally Park27
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: B Browne(5)| T: P W Flynn| D
16/1
Ran out a gutsy winner of a Navan bumper on his debut in September before finding plenty of improvement to follow up in a stronger event at Cork (yielding,) again digging deep top score. Respected first time out over hurdles.

Someday164
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: R M Power| T: Mrs J Harrington| BF
11/2
Leopardstown bumper winner but well adrift of Paloma Blue in the Punchestown event won by Fayonagh. A slightly disappointing third when fancied for his hurdling debut at Punchestown (good) in May but easier ground here may help.
10
Horse silk
Allez Kal13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: A E Lynch| T: J Barcoe
100/1
Second in a Clonmel bumper in March, but other efforts in that sphere have been disappointing and she was well held in a Cork maiden hurdle last month. Readily opposed in such hot company.

Heather Moth16
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: R Loughran| T: M Phelan
100/1
Has won a point-to-point in heavy ground but beaten more than 60L on her rules debut in a Fairyhouse bumper in April and was never sighted at long odds first time out over hurdles. Easy to ignore.
12
Horse silk
100/1
No show in two bumpers and a maiden hurdle at Navan (yielding) in September where she was sent off at 100/1. Impossible to recommend until showing more.

Forecasts

Paloma Blue (7/4), Pallasator (2/1), Next Destination (4/1), Someday (11/2), Laverteen (14/1), Sally Park (16/1), Allez Kal (100/1), Heather Moth (100/1), The Lady Of Brega (100/1), Fern Owl (100/1), Niebieski (100/1), Playtimesover (100/1)

13:45 Naas - 11 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Pallasator, a Group winner on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, is a fascinating hurdling debutant under the guidance of Gordon Elliott but he meets two very smart bumper horses in the shape of Next Destination - fourth in the Champion Bumper - and PALOMA BLUE who pushed the winner of that race, Fayonagh, to within 6L at Punchestown. Of that pair, a marginal preference is for the latter on the basis that he has less miles on the clock, though the market vibes should speak volumes. Laverteen and Sally Park are also respected.
  1. Paloma Blue
  2. Next Destination
  3. Pallasator
