Looked a non-stayer over this trip in the past albeit some time ago. Close second here over 7f in August best effort to date but worries over the trip and hard to describe him as well handicapped.

Hit a rich vein of form with two wins split by a good third lately. Won over 1m here latest and looked like she was ready for further so this trip may suit. Remains competitive with an extra 5lb.

Over a year since lone win (29 races). Acts well here but yet to be tested beyond a mile and significant enough doubts about his stamina to look elsewhere.

6lb penalty since Bellewstown win not been properly tested given unsuitably soft ground in all three races since. Expect this to suit better so should show more prominently.

Thirteen races without success this year and now over two years since she won three in quick succession. Hard to fancy at present.

Well beaten in maidens and two handicaps and while her handicap is rapidly falling she is yet to show enough ability to suggest latest drop will bring about a significant bid.

Best of seven moderate career runs came here over 1m. Hard to say what his best trip is but campaigned at up to 1m6f so this should suit better than the 1m. 7lb lower than that course effort so could see an improved run.

23 race maiden has been favourite in eight of his last 13 starts so firmly a favourite of the bookmakers. Gradual relent from handicapper maintains the interest and once again you can make a good case for him.

Dramatically improved under front-running tactics to finish fourth over C&D last time which was a notable step up in trip. Not certain he quite stayed but now 1lb pound lower and with an ideal draw should connections opt for similar tactics.

Well-beaten in three maidens. Handicap debutant and best watched at present with little to encourage on evidence thus far.

All weather debutant back from lengthy layoff and upped in trip. Not seen enough to recommend her even if she takes to the new distance.

Big prices in all seven career starts although her latest over 1m4f here was her best run to date. On that evidence this trip may be ideal and 4lb drop can see her in an improved light.

20:25 Dundalk - 8 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This will take less winning than it will deciphering. SLEEPY HEAD gets the vote under Pat Smullen after a fine run of form and she could remain ahead of the handicapper with this longer trip likely to suit. Frozen Moon is one of a few three-year olds who could be ready to break through and she looks the most likely based on her last effort. The frustrating Weightfordave will have his supporters as usual and he ought to be involved at the business end.
