First run in a nursery saw her land a six-runner race over 6f at Newbury, but she has been well held since off higher marks and over longer trips. Back down to her opening handicap rating.

Won over 7f at this track two starts ago, but went up 3lb and was 7th of 17 at Leicester last time. Races off the same mark, but the return to this track is a plus.

Only limited signs of ability in maiden/novice company and needs to step up on those displays on his first start in a nursery. Tries 1m for the first time and it needs to prove beneficial.

Out of the frame on all five starts, the last two in handicap company. The handicapper has given him a chance, but he needs to show improvement if he is to take it.

Signs of ability in four novice events, but has not really built on her earlier promise. The switch to handicap company and step up to 1m may help, however.

Had a troubled passage so did well to win a C&D nursery on his first run in a handicap. Has been raised 7lb, but looks progressive and is likely to be thereabouts again.

Third to Sauchiehall Street last time and is 7lb better off. Clearly has every chance at these weights, but his rival might be the bigger improver.

Beaten in a Wolverhampton seller last time, but had previously run well in nurseries. Tries a longer trip, but is by a sprinter so there has to be a stamina doubt.

Has finished 10th in all three starts in novice company. Runs in a nursery for the first time and has plenty to prove stepped up in trip.

Held every chance when fourth to Sauchiehall Street last time and is 7lb better off for a 1L beating. That was probably her best run so far and she is closely matched with the winner and Secratario.

Very little encouragement in three runs in novice company. Runs in a nursery for the first time and hopes are pinned on a longer trip and switch to the AW.

Has failed to hit the frame in five starts, two of them in nurseries. Has dropped to an extremely low mark and tries 1m for the first time.

Out the back in all six starts and handicap mark has dropped accordingly. First-time tongue tie needs to have a dramatic effect if he is to figure.

18:15 Kempton - 7 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The recent C&D contest won by Sauchiehall Street with Secratario third and LADYCAMMYOFCLARE fourth probably holds the key to this race. The winner is likely to go on improving and is much respected, but he is by no means certain to confirm the placings with either at these weights and minor preference is for the latter, who was showing her best form so far and could improve again. Dark Blue returns to the venue of her victory and has each-way claims.
  1. Ladycammyofclare
