Improved effort second time up with benefit of experience to win at Kempton on AW over 7f. Won despite keenness there so more to come. Sets the standard even with 6lb penalty.

Newcomer, a 32,000gns yearling by Dutch Art is a half-sister to five winners (three of them as two-year olds). Yards two-year olds often need a run but speedy enough pedigree to merit monitoring the market.

Well related Lethal Force filly who cost 70,000gns as a yearling. Beaten 6½L into fifth of nine on debut at Kempton. Will benefit for experience but big step up needed to feature.

Newcomer cost 260,000gns as a yearling. Daughter of prolific two-year old sire Kodiac is a half-sister to Responsibleforlove who is a Listed winner and G1 placed in USA over 1m2f. Attractive pedigree for top yard but Crowley prefers Nawassi.

By Dubawi out of a 1000 Guineas third dam so has a fine pedigree. Well supported in August on the July course on debut but was a remote last of nine. Had a break since and Crowley prefers to Hateel. Much improved effort expected.

Newcomer by Harbour Watch is a half-sister to seven winners from 5f to 1m6f. Balance of pedigree suggests middle distances and yard not prolific with two-year olds so watching brief for now.

Rococo
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: R Havlin| T: J & T Gosden
5/2
Dubawi debutant is a sister to 1m winner All the Rage and half-sister to four winners including St Leger third Michelangelo. Majority of dam's progeny stayed 1m4f. Bred for further but top trainer exceptional with fillies. Also runs Nawassi.

Forecasts

Rococo (5/2), Revalue (3/1), Nawassi (4/1), Fire Orchid (6/1), Hateel (10/1), Alizeti (12/1), Queen Maureen (14/1), Love To Breeze (25/1), Ness Of Brodgar (33/1)

12:05 Newmarket - 4 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The win of Revalue at Kempton was a much improved effort and she ought to go well once more but with a 6lb penalty she could be vulnerable to one less exposed and a chance is taken on NAWASSI for the all-conquering John Gosden team. She flopped on debut but was well supported there and the fact that Jim Crowley sticks with her is further evidence of her reputation. By no means is it guaranteed that Nawassi is the Gosden number one however and Rococo is respected although she may find 7f sharp enough.
  1. Nawassi
  2. Revalue
  3. Rococo
