On a lengthy losing run, with his last success coming over 6f here in June 2016. However, more attractively handicapped as a result, but needs to put a couple of recent disappointing runs firmly in the past.

Made all to beat stablemate Monsieur Joe at Naas in September (5f soft), but has found higher marks beyond him at York and Catterick subsequently. Yet to prove fully effective on the AW, so slightly vulnerable.

Five time AW winner who is returning from a short break (off since June). Just 1lb above his last winning mark (in a class 4 contest), and can produce a strong late finish, so definite possibilities.

Like many of his stablemates was in good form over the summer, winning on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and on quick ground at Brighton in July. Posted another solid effort latest, and switches back to the AW from a recent career high mark.

Very well treated on the pick of last winters efforts, now 8lb lower than when a 1L runner up to Encore D'Or over C&D in November 2016. Had a light campaign (mainly on turf) until recently, and should go well in this grade.

Lightly raced after just four starts (mainly on the AW). Won a 6f Wolverhampton maiden in November 2016, but kept quiet for the majority of 2017, and sharper now after a couple of recent starts in handicaps.

Has proved himself as a solid AW performer over a variety of trips (5f to 7f), and he was twice a winner over 6f here in the early months of the year. Posted a solid effort at Dundalk (5f) latest, so has reasonable place claims.

Stablemate of Dynamo Walt, and switches back to his favoured synthetics for the first time since June (5 from 27 on the AW). 2lb below his last winning mark, a C&D success in February when beating Dynamo Walt by 1L.

Posted a couple of C&D successes during the summer months, and is just 2lb above her last winning mark (beat Alsvinder by a head). A six time winner at this track all told, and excuses for her latest Kempton effort (dwelt).

Just failed when beaten a nose by Just Us Two at Doncaster in July (5f good to firm), but made amends back on the Polytrack when a 1½L C&D winner latest. Up 4lb, and in grade (into a class 4).

Age: 5|  Weight: 8-8| J: Gabriele Malune(7)| T: S Dixon| OR:  72| C| D
20/1
Her winning form at Catterick in late August (5f good) reads fairly well, but she'd disappointed in her next couple of starts, prior to a stronger effort at Southwell latest. 1 from 22 on the AW overall, and this looks overly competitive.

Forecasts

Top Boy (3/1), Gorgeous Noora (7/2), Aleef (4/1), Super Julius (8/1), You're Cool (11/1), Menelik (12/1), Saved My Bacon (14/1), Tylery Wonder (16/1), Penny Dreadful (20/1), Dynamo Walt (25/1), Gentlemen (25/1)

19:25 Chelmsford City - 2 November 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Both Super Julius and Gorgeous Noora arrive as fairly unexposed three-year-old's, and promise to attract plenty of interest in the market. However, there are a number of proven AW performers with equally alluring claims who offer more value. Menelik has place claims on the back of a respectable run at Dundalk, and solid between 5f and 7f, should never be ignored at this track. Dynamo Walt is another who will win his fair share of races during the AW championships, and should be putting in strong late work on his return to action from just 1lb above his last winning mark, but a strong preference is for the David O'Meara trained ALEEF. This colt has slipped to a most attractive mark despite a relatively light campaign in 2017, and the booking of James Doyle catches the eye.
