Classy handicap hurdler at best, as he showed when taking a Class 2 hurdle at Sandown in April. Winner on chase debut at Warwick last month but jumped a bit stickily. No easy task under a penalty here but should progress.
Very likeable handicap hurdler last season, gaining due reward at Bangor for an excellent effort in the Grade 2 River Don at Doncaster in January. Should make a good chaser and not out of this if jumping fluently on debut.
Lightly raced and some promise to be taken from his bumper debut at Sandown, but that was back in 2015 and he's only been seen once since then. No realistic chance here.
Improving and form of his second at Worcester last time out is solid, with the first and third performing well since. Yard a bit quiet though, so despite trip and ground here being ideal, others are preferred.
Has raced a bit keenly at times, but has some quality form to his name over hurdles and didn't fare badly on only chase start to date. Long absence to overcome, suggesting there's been issues, but still looks one of the more likely ones here.
Form in point-to-points is only modest, but has joined a yard absolutely flying this autumn, which is his main selling point May still need this and easier opportunities will come.,
Often highly tried over hurdles, the sort to make a decent chaser this year but it was a very low-key introduction at Worcester earlier in the month and she needs to leave that form behind here.

Knight Of Noir has arguably shown the best form over fences and holds a chance, but the form of the yard is a bit patchy at present and it may pay to look elsewhere for the winner. Wait For Me would appear the obvious alternative after his Warwick win but he will need to jump better on a tricky track, and there might be a bit of value to be had with DUEL AT DAWN, who always threatened to make a better chaser and isn't a million miles behind on hurdles form. The cheekpieces are added today, suggesting he's ready to go at the first time of asking, and he can cause a minor surprise. Rock On Oscar has to be given respect despite the absence.
