10/3
His form from his Ayr bumper looks to be of a decent standard from his second start and that was certainly a step forward from his initial bumper effort. Now makes his hurdling debut and a repetition of his last start would see him take a prominent role here.

A promising recruit to hurdling despite failing to score in three bumper starts (started favourite last time). May just need this run though returning from a long absence.

Winner of an Irish point-to-point from a good jumping family although the form of his win in that sphere hasn't been very well advertised. Yard have taken divisions of this race in the past so one to note.

100/1
Poor maiden who makes very little appeal in this and will once again find this a tough task.
Has hinted at some promise in bumpers and over hurdles but hard to see him making much of an impression here and handicaps will see him in a much better light.

Form and temperament have looked to be regressive and hard to make much of a case for him here.

1/2
Wetherby bumper winner on his debut who showed up well on his hurdles debut recently behind an odds-on favourite. Sets the standard in this race and should go close on his second hurdles start.
Showed a little ability in two bumper runs with the second being the best of them without being a standout effort. Likely to show more over hurdles in time but further might be needed as will this run after a break.

Makes his debut over hurdles for a new yard having romped away with a Perth bumper by 13L in August. Won that race with plenty in hand and should go on to bigger and better things and of real interest on his hurdles debut.
Showed only modest form in two bumpers and didn't live up to his debut effort on his first start for this yard. Would be a surprise winner of this given his form so far.

Well held on her completed start over hurdles when a 100/1 chance and has plenty of work to do with Some Reign; an unlikely winner of this.

Forecasts

Some Reign (1/2), Cool Mix (10/3), Vino's Choice (7/1), Fernan (11/1), Flemens Story (16/1), Treshnish (33/1), Night Comes In (66/1), Zamarkhan (66/1), Mr Witmore (100/1), Shesthebusiness (100/1), Rooster Spirit (125/1)

13:50 Kelso - 28 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There looks to be a little more strength in depth in this and Some Reign sets a good standard but it might pay to take an chance with impressive Perth bumper winner VINO'S CHOICE. He looks a good sort for hurdling and offers some value here against the likely favourite. Cool Mix looks the sort who could improve over hurdles and along with Flemens Story and Fernan provides a more competitive division than the first one.
  1. Vino's Choice
  2. Some Reign
  3. Flemens Story
