This son of Westerner cost £58,000 at Cheltenham in June after making a winning debut (for Stuart Crawford) at Sedgefield the previous month. That form is largely untested, but has the potential to improve despite carrying a penalty.

€155,000 three-year-old. Fourth foal who is a brother to the useful One Track Mind. His dam was unraced, but is a sister to One Term, so this debutant has all of the required attributes to compete strongly both today and in the future.

Cost €40,000 following his debut 3m point-to-point success in April (Fairyhouse). Weakened after forcing the pace on debut at Newton Abbot just over a fortnight ago, and that goes down as a disappointing rules debut (5/4f).

Cost £100,000 at Cheltenham in March following his debut (made all) distance success in a 3m Horse & Jockey point-to-point just a few days earlier. Wears a hood for rules/stable debut.

No joy in a couple of spins in point-to-points, this second foal is unlikely to have the speed for this kind of test, being out of a 3m-3m1f chase winner Earcomesannie. Others much preferred.
Unraced eighth foal by Shirocco out of Gulshaan. Half-brother to 2m2f hurdle winner Ginjo and 2m selling hurdle winner Goldie Horn. Longer term prospect.

Cost £21,000 at Ascot in June after finishing 2L second to Rueben James in a 3m maiden at Inchydoney in May (good). His dam (Dympnajane) was unraced, but a half-sister to bumper/point winner Penelope Pips.

Unraced Oscar gelding out of Kerry's Girl. Fourth foal who cost £27,000 as a three-year-old, and whose dam was a half-sister to the smart 2m hurdler/chaser St Pirran.

First foal by Black Sam Bellamy out of an unraced mare with a point-to-point/hunters chase background (Princess Cara). Showed promise when beaten ½L by Whoshotwho on debut in a Southwell bumper in May.
Stablemate of Mighty Thunder who wears a tongue tie for his rules/stable debut. Fifth foal by Oscar out of In Fact. Easy 8L winner of a 3m maiden at Kinsale in June (yielding to soft).

50/1
Cost £20,000 at Cheltenham in June after finishing a neck second to Piece A Cake in a 3m mares maiden at Tralee (point-to-point) the previous month. Her dam was a maiden, but with direct family links back to Marello.

Has more experience than the others after three starts in point-to-points, and a couple of runs in bumpers. Bred to need further, being a half sister to Mrsrobin, and plenty of the others make much more appeal.

Forecasts

17:30 Cheltenham - 28 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A race largely full of unknown horses, but a one which promises to throw up plenty of future winners. Without a deep and extensive knowledge of point-to-point form, stakes are probably best kept to a bare minimum, but some of the more obvious looking contenders would include, Cracking Destiny and AINCHEA. On pedigree, the selection looks more than capable of making his mark both in the present moment, and in the future, and that's probably reflected in his €155,000 purchase price as a three-year-old in 2016. A brother to the very useful bumper and hurdles winner One Track Mind, he now carries the silks of prominent jumps owners, and looks a potentially useful sort on paper for trainer Colin Tizzard to go to war with.
