Useful Flat performer who ran well enough on hurdling debut at Tipperary earlier in the month. Ground versatile and can't be discounted.
Well-beaten odds of 50/1 on debut at Chepstow last time out, and will struggle to have a say here on the basis of that performance.
Useful bumper performer who ran well enough to finish third on debut over hurdles at Huntingdon last time out. Will have learnt from that experience and should prefer this stiffer track.
Placed in a couple of bumpers but finished last of twelve and beaten 59L on rules debut at Uttoxeter in May. Others hold far more convincing claims here.
Former point-to-pointer who wasn't disgraced on sole run in a bumper. Needs to come from that on this first attempt at hurdles, however.
Won a Warwick bumper and also ran well in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree, beaten just 5½L. One to consider on this first attempt over hurdles.
Presenting gelding and winning point-to-pointer, making his first start under rules for a trainer who has introduced some top class horses through that sphere. Has to be respected on hurdling debut.
Failed to land a blow when racing too keenly and jumping fairly poorly on hurdling debut at Musselburgh in March. Drop in trip a positive but needs to have come on from that plenty.

Colin Tizzard had a Grade 1 winning former point-to-pointer last year in the form of Finian's Oscar and it's just possible he could another top novice hurdler from that sphere in the form of SLATE HOUSE. This son of Presenting impressed on his second start between the flags at Tattersalls Farm, and has what it takes to make a winning debut under rules here. Useful bumper performer Point Of Principle and recent Huntingdon third Dans Le Vent are others to consider.
