2/1
Dual hurdles winner whose chasing career has not gone smoothly. Has been off the course since pulling up at Exeter in March and perhaps the break will have given him time to get back on track. Chase mark is 19lb lower than his hurdles rating.

Landed a 2m3f Exeter handicap on his second start over fences, but two subsequent efforts over the larger obstacles have not gone to script. Only young, though, and may be capable of better.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-10| J: Paul O'Brien(5)| T: C E Longsdon| OR:  102| BF| D
5/1
Won three of his 10 starts over fences when trained by the late Alan Swinbank and first run for current stable saw him finish a creditable second of eight at Fontwell earlier this month. Should strip fitter for the outing and can get involved again

Off the mark over fences when landing a Market Rasen novices' handicap chase in May, but was well held off 7lb higher at Uttoxeter in June. This is his first run since and he can do better.

Experienced campaigner, but is only 1-17 over fences. Pulled up when last seen in a point-to-point in April, and it will be interesting to see how he fares on his first run for this trainer.

14/1
Pulled up three times in a row before ending last season on a winning note in a three-runner race at Towcester when his two rivals exited the race at the second fence. Beaten quite a long way on his return at Exeter and needs to find more.

Mount Oliverp15

5/1
Ex-Irish point-to-pointer/novice chaser whose first run for this yard saw him finish a distant third of nine at Towcester. Needs to step up on that considerably, but is on good hands and should do better in time.

Forecasts

Flashjack (2/1), Barlow (4/1), Fly Home Harry (5/1), Mount Oliver (5/1), Running Wolf (8/1), Seven Kingdoms (9/1), How About It (10/1), Some Finish (14/1)

14:30 Ludlow - 26 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Should top-weight Flashjack translate his hurdling ability to fences following his break, he would have a major chance off his current handicap mark, but he comes with risks and the percentage call is FLY HOME HARRY, who has a fair strike rate over fences and ran well on his first start for his new stable. Barlow is of interest on his debut for his trainer, while cases can also be made for How About It, Seven Kingdoms and Running Wolf.
  1. Fly Home Harry
  2. Flashjack
  3. Seven Kingdoms
