1
Horse silk
66/1
Finished a tailed off last of eleven on debut in a mares bumper at Fairyhouse just under a fortnight ago, so the first time tongue tie needs to have a transformational impact.
2
Horse silk
33/1
Produced similar efforts on both attempts in bumpers so far (Roscommon and Downpatrick), and doesn't appear to have the required attributes to be involved today.
3
Horse silk
33/1
Finished no closer than fourth (to Fayonagh at Naas in November 2016) in six attempts in bumpers to date, so no reason why she'll make it seventh time lucky on her seasonal reappearance.
4
Horse silk
10/1
Cost a mere €650 as a yearling, so did well to finish third on her debut at Downpatrick in August. Probably ran to a similar level of form at Galway last month (fifth), but not quite strong enough overall.

5/1
No extra close home when a ¾L runner up to Mysloegin (Minnies Secret third) at Galway last month (2m+ soft) on her fourth start in a bumper. Chance if returning to action in the same order.

Granny Ryle33
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Mr B O'Neill| T: T Cooper
66/1
Weakened quickly and tailed off on debut in a Listowel bumper last month. Much more required on a less testing surface.
7
Horse silk
33/1
Mid-division finishes in both starts in bumpers so far (Gowran Park and Fairyhouse). Those races were spread just a week apart, and came on vastly differing surfaces.
8
Horse silk
2/1
Bounced back from a hurdles fall on debut to make the frame in a pair of bumpers at Galway and Gowran. Finished third just behind Florazi at Galway, but shaped as if she needed further than 2m at Gowran subsequently.

Araukan
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: R Deegan(7)| T: S J Treacy
50/1
Unraced second foal by Arakan out of an unraced dam (Sherwolf). Difficult to envisage that she'll be sharp enough on debut.
Unraced eighth foal by Flemensfirth out of Mood I'm In. Cost €9,000 as a foal and is a sister to 2m5f/3m1f chase winner In Great Form, as well as a half-sister to a couple of point-to-point winners.

2/1
Sister to bumper, Flat and hurdles winner She's A Star. Produced with a winning effort on debut at Wexford in May (good), but nabbed close home by Jenny's Grey. Tongue tied for the first time and the go-to rider takes the mount.
13
Horse silk
16/1
Unraced first foal by Gold Well out of Little Dinger. Her dam lacked much in the way of ability, but was a half-sister to 2m-2m4f hurdle and chase winner Corrib Lad. Better with time.
14
Horse silk
66/1
Inexpensive, and out of a point-to-point placed dam (Who By Fire). Not strong enough on debut at Navan last month, and a similar outcome likely today.
Beaten many lengths, but better than the bare result when finishing in midfield in a Clonmel bumper on debut last month (2m1f soft). Half-sister to a couple of winners including Sizing Rio and should win races in time.
16
Horse silk
16/1
Finished fifth of eight on debut at Navan last month, beaten 12¾L by Sally Park (with better fancied stablemate Moonlight Escape third). A half-sister to six winners, so should improve, but needs to based upon that showing.

17:20 Punchestown - 18 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Probably not the strongest of mares bumpers to conclude the opening day of the season at Punchestown, but a race where it should pay too focus upon those horses with experience. The likeliest winner is the Noel Meade trained once raced four-year-old filly IAMASTARTOO. This well named filly is a full sister to the useful all rounder She's A Star, and she was probably a shade unfortunate to be nabbed close home on debut at Wexford in May. Nina Carberry has been booting home a regular supply of winners in these races since her return to the saddle, and with the go-to rider booked for the mount, this first time tongue tied filly should get off the mark at the second attempt.
