Showed her best form on the AW as a two-year old looking a speedy sort when nearly getting off the mark in a Kempton 5f 0-60. Presumably needed her first run for this new yard after a break in July and not seen since.

A much reduced mark provided the catalyst for him to put a couple of decent runs together in the summer over 5f (one on soft). Latest two runs have been nowhere near the same standard and has to prove himself with the cheekpieces left off.

Has raced over much further than this (up to 1m2f) for his previous yard but did looks to show some speed as a juvenile. Ran no sort of race in a seller last time and now tried over 5f in a handicap for the first time. Yard knows the time of day with sprinters.

Has won enough times over 5f to be worthy of respect especially off this sort of mark (last winning mark - 64) and did show a glimmer of hope last time. Would be well weighted if he could build on that AW run but no guarantee he can.

An enigmatic sort who showed what he could do when winning under this pilot at Thirsk over 6f in August. Has been rather in-and-out since then as is his won't but has won over C&D at about this time last year off 4lb higher.

Record now reads 0/23 and although he has looked capable of winning in a low grade affair like this on a few occasions it will be a really poor affair that he does win. Not hard to pass over even in this company.

Sure to attract attention with the leading male amateur rider booked but she's had plenty of chances off marks like this before and been unable to convert them. Trainer is very good with sprinters but he looks to have his work cut out with the one.

Has been capable of running and winning in better company than this in the past; rattled off a hat-trick in early 2016. Not won since though despite a plummeting mark (career low now) and looks as though a return to 6f is needed.

Arguably turned in his best run of the season under this rider when runner-up at Hamilton over 6f and has shaped as though in relatively decent form since. Summed up by his strike-rate overall though (2/61) and a place might be the best he can hope for.

A record of 0/14 on turf doesn't set you rushing to support this one and his sole win remains an AW one. He looks a speedy sort and he was only touched off last time on the Fibresand by one in the form of her life; his turf form remains a worry.

Tough and genuine filly who seems to run every week and finally got off the mark for the season at Musselburgh recently. Always blasts off hard from the front and it will be just a question of whether she can last home under such tactics.

Now on a losing run that stretches back some 31 runs with the last win coming in 2014. Has run some solid enough races this year though at 5f and was unlucky not to win last time at Musselburgh in first-time hood; better held-up last two starts.

Hardly the best named he did at least show some sort of form at Ripon and over C&D in August. Well below that level of form last time admittedly in a better race but hard to fancy even dropped in grade.

Admirable old sprinter who will be making his 197th start (18 wins) and sure to run his typical race of being slow away and running on late. Managed a third in that scenario last time out and if there was a pace collapse he would benefit.

17:10 Catterick - 10 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The getting out stakes and not an easy “get-out” at all with all sorts of low grade sprinters some of which have not won for quite some while and some not at all. The betting focus is bound to be on the rides of Serena Brotherton and Simon Walker the two leading amateurs who are booked for Robbian and La Haule Lady respectively with the former looking to have a reasonable chance here after running well in better company. Lady Joanna Vassa is sure to set a good pace and if something heads her they are going too fast although the AW scorer Men United may well keep her company. Whipphound is always capable of running well in race like this and it will be fascinating to see what Permanent can do back at 5f for his new yard. A chance is taken with RED FOREVER though who despite his win to run ratio has run well of late under more conservative tactics and he might just sneak another win here.
