Completed a hat-trick with two nursery wins in the summer looking very at home over 7f was always likely to rise in the weights after that and tried in a higher grade. Back to handicaps last time over a mile but looks weighted to the hilt with ground a concern.

Upped in trip to 7f and showed improved form when gaining his first win and has run with credit on most outings since looking to thrive on his racing without winning. Will handle this ground and was only just touched off last time out at Ripon; hard to ignore.

The stamina test that she was granted on her nursery debut clearly suited as she won over a mile at Thirsk off a mark of 68. Given a hefty rise for that win she shaped better than her finishing position last time (poorly positioned) and remains one to keep onside.

Holds a recent verdict over Poet's Dawn and is in fact better off at the weights now for winning ½L over C&D. Not seen since then but handles ground with plenty of give and should be on the premises once again.

A winner over 6f around here earlier in the year when a short-priced favourite in minor company he's shaped well in handicaps although he did find a mile too far once. Ran here last time behind Poet's Dawn and El Chapo and close between that trio.

Forecasts

El Chapo (9/4), Poet's Dawn (7/2), Ventura Knight (7/2), Che Bella (4/1), Star Of Zaam (6/1)

14:35 Catterick - 10 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A fascinating little handicap with three of the runners finishing 1-2-3 in a C&D nursery at the end of last month and there won’t be much between those three which were in finishing order El Chapo, Poet’s Dawn and Star Of Zaam with only the second of that trio having run since when turning in another good effort last time at Ripon when he was again narrowly beaten. Of the three the winner last time out (El Chapo) looks as though he may have more progress in him. However, CHE BELLA looks the one to side with having already looked useful when winning and failing to get the run of the race last time at Pontefract where she was poorly positioned in a race that contained three other previous winners. Ventura Knight completes the field although he looks on a tough mark now after earlier successes and the ground is also an unknown.
  1. Che Bella
