The majority of his best form has form has come here at Pontefract and he managed to stop a recent slide last time here over 1m2f. Same headgear combination used this time but not sure to be in the same mood this time around.
Put together a very good first effort at Ripon in late August on his debut but failed to build on that when brought back to the track quickly at Hamilton although the heavy ground may not have suited. Remains open to improvement if he acts on this soft surface.
His third effort would have been his worst performance so far although he was spared a hard time over a longer trip than he faces today. His two previous efforts showed that he has ability although he may be better off in handicaps.
From a good family it looks as though his progress has stalled a little after showing promise on his second start at Newbury. Would need to get back to that run as he has his first try at a mile with the going a slight unknown.
Ridden by a 70-year-old in the Doncaster Legends race last time and outpaced over that mile trip. Not sure that form should be taken seriously and looks to be better judged on his third over C&D previously.
Cost €10,000 as a yearling; first foal of a dame who stayed 1m2f with some useful relations in her pedigree. This isn't a particularly deep race and she's worth a market check on debut.
Given more of a chance on her first than her second outing with the debut effort at Redcar being her best so far. Looked rusty on her return recently and was never a threat on a softer surface and needs this run for a mark.

Very few outstanding profiles here and it’s hard to be that keen on one in particular. Graphite will probably be better in handicaps while Bombay remains open to improvement but isn’t sure to act on the ground. Munthany needs to get back to his previous form to take a hand with Guiding Passion looking as though she will be better in handicaps (the surface also a doubt) so SOLDIER BLUE is given the nod with an improvement in the riding department this time around and having shown decent form over this C&D before.
