Toiled at long odds in a series of bumpers and, though he did manage to win a 3m point-to-point on soft ground in February. Failed to finish in the Galway festival beginners chase, before finishing last of nine last time out. Others preferred.
Has developed into a high-class handicapper this term, winning at Navan, and better than ever when third to Presenting Percy in Pertemps Final at Cheltenham. Likely to be a warm order here.
Ran well on chasing debut when fourth of 13 in a Downpatrick beginners chase last month. Will need to improve to figure. *10th of 16 in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse yesterday.
Not the most fluent jumper in each of his starts over fences but has proved he can take fences in his stride. Off since May and others preferred despite first-time blinkers.
Still without a win in five chase starts suffering a series of heavy defeats and failing to finish last time out at Limerick in March. Others preferred on seasonal debut.
Has put in some rock-solid performances over the summer running between 2m4f and 2m6f over hurdles and an interesting chasing recruit. Sure to come on for this run.
Hit the frame on three occasions in eight chase starts but still without a win. Steady improvement last season was confirmed by a decent second of seven on seasonal debut at Gowran Park recently. Should make her presence felt.
Forecasts
Jury Duty (4/7), Wishmoor (3/1), Twiss's Hill (9/2), Snugsborough Benny (14/1), Mannin Island (25/1), Like A Demon (33/1), Oscar Lantern (33/1), Fruits Of Gold (50/1)
Twiss's Hill certainly likes to get on with things and will take the field along in the early stages with the Mose Morris-trained Wishmoor travelling in behind. Snugsborough Benny is an interesting chasing recruit but it will take something special to overcome the Gordon Elliott-trained JURY DUTY who is likely to be a warm order.
