Cost £35,000 as a five-year-old after he had finished runner-up on both his completed starts in Irish maiden point-to-points. Made a winning debut in bumpers at Chepstow in April (form franked) but now has to give away a penalty on his second Rules start.
Half-brother to hurdler/useful chaser Walk To Freedom who cost €30,000 as a three-year-old. Dam was unraced but was a half-sister to a useful hurdler Holland Park but yard have a fairly modest strike-rate in bumpers (6% last five years).

Finished 4th on his debut at Ffos Las in March showing ability although he was quite green. Failed to back that run up when beaten at odds-on at Ludlow next time out (still green) and more needed here.

Gelding by Doyen out of a dam who was a maiden hurdler from a yard not known for their bumper winners; can only be watched here.
Half brother to winning chaser Benability who runs earlier on the card. Dam was an unraced half-sister to fair hurdler/chaser Treacle. Makes her debut under Rules and for this yard having cost £88,000 after finishing runner-up in an Irish point-to-point.
Comes from a yard that are in good form at the moment (four winners out of their last eight runners); cost €80,000 as a three-year-old. Dam was placed in a bumper and the stable have an 18% strike-rate in bumpers in past five years; worth a market check.

Showed promise in both starts in Irish point-to-points but this looks a deep bumper and he may well be in a bit too deep here.

Looked badly in need of the experience when finishing third (ran green) and put in a rather laboured effort. Blinkers now go on for the first time in an effort to sharpen him up.

Placed in all his three bumper starts without looking like he was making any progress through them. Forced to give best to a newcomer last time out and may well face the same scenario here.

Given his pedigree he looks as though he'll need further than this and the yard's bumper winners are few and far between these days.
Yard don't have an overwhelming bumper record (2/16 in recent years) and this one looks to have some speed in his pedigree. Cost £7,000 as a three-year-old and others are further up the pecking order here.

Irish raider from a yard that have a poor record in bumpers and this looks a tough start for her. Half-sister to three winners on the Flat and over jumps.
Trainer has a decent strike rate in these races (5/35) and can win with them first time out although this one does look to have a fairly tough task in what looks to be a decent bumper.

Forecasts

Solomon Grey (9/4), Forgot To Ask (7/2), Court Liability (9/2), Django Django (5/1), Tidal Flow (6/1), Baddesley Knight (9/1), The Brothers (20/1), The Ginger Ninjer (20/1), Atomic Rumble (25/1), Shine's Bar (28/1), Fenlons Court (33/1), Suit Her (33/1), The Premier Celtic (66/1), Alltimegold (66/1)

17:20 Fontwell - 7 October 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Forgot To Ask has to give weight away to the whole field here having been successful on his debut in a Chepstow bumper showing some pace and looking as though this sharper test would suit. The penalty may well be difficult to carry though and there are some decent types in opposition headed by TIDAL FLOW from a yard going well with their bumper runners this season. Solomon Grey also comes into the equation but he doesn’t look to be progressing as well as some of the others and Court Liability and Django Django are two newcomers who could well be worth noting in the market.
  1. Tidal Flow
  2. Forgot To Ask
  3. Django Django
