Hinted at a return to form at York in Listed company last time out and looking well-handicapped on old form. Will love the likely soft ground here and yard have a good-strike around here; interesting runner.

Clearly improving this year and career best at Ascot last time out with cut in the ground. 4lb rise certainly looks fair for that manner of that win and more improvement possible. Should be thereabouts if in the same form.

In excellent form at the end of 2016 and running well this year until two bitterly disappointing runs as favourite in big fields on last two runs. Well suited to cut in the ground and proven on undulating tracks; can run well if he bounces back.

Very impressive winner at Pontefract at the start of this year's campaign, having won both starts as a juvenile but has gone backwards since. Handicapper giving him a chance dropping him 3lb but needs a revival to figure.

Career best when winning at York two starts back and respectable effort in defeat here when fifth of 19 last time. Versatile with regards tactics and ground and may not be done improving just yet but no doubt he needs a career best.

Not won since landing a claimer at Epsom over a year ago and has been poor on three runs this year. Yard in better form now but well above his last winning mark and looks in need of relief from the handicapper.

Has a won nine times in his career including a 20-runner C&D success last year and followed that with a Listed victory at York. Badly out of form in recent times though, including back here when last of 19 last time and others arrive in better form.

C&D winner back in 2015 but most of his better efforts have seemingly come on faster ground, as seen when runner-up at Thirsk last time out. Still on a workable mark so can't be discounted if he handles conditions.

On a long losing run dating back over two years but below his last winning mark now and has run some big races in defeat lately, including a C&D second of 20 two starts back. Seemingly only a matter of time before he gets his head back in front.

Latest win came over C&D but he's been a little disappointing for this yard. Blotted his copybook here last month when refusing to race but has run respectably on two subsequent starts. Unreliable type and still above his last winning mark.

C&D winner who has been in fine form this year and produced a career best when winning at Chester last time out. Certainly won't mind any cut in the ground and likely to go well again off a 5lb higher mark if he can cope with the drop back to 6f.

Largely out of form this year and plenty of work to do to turn around the form with Explain from last time, even with a swing in the weights. Does have a C&D win to his name and he's back below his last winning mark but he's hard to fancy.

Gained his first win over this C&D and has been running well this year, despite only having one win to his name for the campaign. Pulled up last time but positive that he's out again quickly and likely to still be in form.

Redcar winner last month and followed up with a good placed effort here before running well at Catterick. Disappointing last time at Musselburgh when racing a little keenly and probably held by the handicapper as far as win purposes are concerned.

15:45 Ripon - 30 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

NAGGERS has been disappointing on his last couple of starts but the money for him on both those occasions is likely to be significant and he was well fancied for the Ayr Gold Cup before the meeting was abandoned; with conditions likely to be soft he could be the one to beat with more improvement possible. Mobsta returned to form last time out with a solid effort in Listed class and he's another who will appreciate conditions while Explain is clearly in the form of his life and can't be ruled out if he's not inconvenienced by the drop back in trip.
  1. Naggers
  2. Mobsta
  3. Explain
