Formerly with Martyn Meade, but was successful for this trainer at Beverley in July (7½f). No show on his last two starts, but just 3lb higher now and has won on the AW (Poly) in the past.
A solid and consistent performer at this track (1,1,1,2,2,5) and was on the premises when fifth to the strong stayer Auspicion over 1m here latest. That form could be well advertised earlier by both the winner and third Gerry The Glover. 7f ideal.
Has some reasonable runner up efforts on his CV from this mark (6f, Ascot, May), and latest when beaten ½L by Favourite Royal over 7f at Epsom (good to firm). 6f probably suits best, but a player despite moderate AW form in the past.
Has run some fairly solid races over C&D from higher marks in the past, so a 4lb rise for finally making it 19th time lucky at Doncaster recently (7f good) certainly doesn't appear overly harsh. Place prospects at the very least.
Picked up from David Lanigan for 12,000 gns in July, and almost off to a winning start for the yard when beaten a head by Habbad at Doncaster (7f). Not progressed since, but similar claims to Rock Warbler on latest start.
The handicapper appears to have overreacted following his success in a Wolverhampton maiden in December 2016 (6f), but it's feasible he was flying too high in a higher grade during February and this race might prove more suitable.
Particularly poor on his last three starts (6f to 1m) and hard to see him snapping a losing streak that stretches back 16 races.
Ten race maiden who hasn't fully capitalised on some early promise, but should prove capable of winning here at some stage in the months ahead. Beaten just over 2L by Irish raider Breeze over 1m here three weeks ago and dropped 1lb since.
Fairly solid for a number of starts now, but the bulk of those efforts have come over longer trips. However, he has won over this trip on turf here in the past (April 2015) and given his recent consistency couldn't be ignored.
Lacks much in the way of AW experience, but much like his in-form trainer, he has enjoyed a productive past few months. He won over the extended mile at Nottingham in June, and is just 4lb higher here (finished behind Hernando Torres latest).
Likes to race prominently and backed up a couple of decent efforts when toughing it out to score over 7½f at Chester in June (good to soft). Probably unsuited by the trip at Musselburgh (1m1f) and now tries the AW for the first time.
Successful from just a 1lb lower mark over 1m here in January, and generally performs with credit at this track (also won on grass here). Freshened up after a few lacklustre efforts (March to May) and back for his first start in almost five months.
A dual 7f Polytrack winner for previous trainer Charles Hills (sold for 34,000 gns in February). Her most recent start at York was almost certainly much needed (last of 18), but one to keep an eye on for the future on the AW.
In fair form last back-end, winning twice over 6f (Redcar and Newcastle), but nowhere near so good throughout 2017 and gradually inching down the weights. Looks vulnerable over 7f.

A race which appears very open and doesn't offer any real standout contenders. The likes of Rock Warbler and Hernando Torres are proven Newcastle performers and it'll certainly be no real surprise to see either involved, whilst both Acrux and Portledge will be winning at some point sooner rather than later. However, although DEANSGATE was making it 19th time lucky when winning at Doncaster last month (7f good), a subsequent 4lb rise seems fair. He has proved himself as a fairly reliable sort over C&D in the past (5,3,4,4) from similar marks to tonight's (72) and he could prove capable of following up.
