Useful performer on his day, though all four wins have come over shorter trips. That said, he does appear to get 7f and he has shown enough in arguably better company recently to merit consideration, providing he acts on the track.

Going great guns since return from a mid-season break, having won at Wolverhampton and gone close twice since, including over 1m here last time out. Won't mind the drop back in trip and looks an obvious player.

Finished second at Windsor on her only start as a juvenile, but has failed to step up on that in four outings this term. Still not fully exposed and always a chance that introduction of cheekpieces could galvanise her.

Dual 7f winner on turf earlier in the year, most recently off just a 1lb lower mark, but didn't show enough at Brighton last time to suggest he's an imminent winner. Inside draw should aid his cause, however.

Has had a good season, winning at Carlisle (6f, soft) before coming good again at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) last month. Another strong effort when second at Pontefract last week and holds realistic claims of a first AW win back up in trip.

Boasts both a turf and an AW success in a 16 race career, though largely out of sorts since last scoring at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) in June. Introduction of blinkers don't seemed to have made a discernible difference.

Third in a 6f maiden at Yarmouth (good) in May on his final maiden start and not disgraced in a 7f Chepstow handicap last month but ran terribly on softer ground at Lingfield last time. Form is just too patchy to make serious appeal.

Had proved a frustrating one to follow until finally getting the job done at the 19th time of asking in an apprentices' event (under this rider) over C&D on Wednesday, edging out Frank's Legacy by a neck. Should give another decent account.

Landed a 6f seller on soft ground at Leicester last July but that remains his only success from 18 attempts, including six on the AW. Decent effort when second over 1m1f at Lingfield latest but isn't one to place maximum faith in.

Won his maiden on the AW at Lingfield (7f) last July but has't added to his tally in 12 subsequent starts. Fair effort when third behind Prince Jai over C&D on Wednesday but no obvious reason to expect him to reverse that form.

Forecasts

Prince Jai (13/8), La Isla Bonita (5/1), My Girl Maisie (5/1), Pass The Cristal (7/1), Latest Quest (8/1), Carcharias (12/1), Luduamf (14/1), Beepeecee (16/1), Etienne Gerard (16/1), Lovely Acclamation (20/1), Higgy's Heartbeat (33/1), The Happy Hammer (33/1)

20:15 Chelmsford City - 28 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Prince Jai had Latest Quest in arrears when winning under Manuel Fernandes over C&D on Wednesday and, because it was an apprentices' event, escapes a penalty. He obviously has to be considered but the progressive LA ISLA BONITA could prove too strong back over 7f after just failing to last home over 1m here last time out. My Girl Maisie advertised her well-being by finishing second at Pontefract last week and is another one to consider on her AW debut.
  1. La Isla Bonita
  2. My Girl Maisie
  3. Prince Jai
