Son of Zebedee who cost 8,500 gns as a yearling. He was slowly away before making some late headway on debut at Thirsk and although improvement is likely, he looks one for handicaps further down the line.

By Australian sire Redoute's Choice, he cost 35,000 gns as a yearling and is from the family of top-class middle-distance performer Pentire. Needed the experience when last of 11 on debut at Haydock and needs to take a huge step forward.

Has been gelded following down-the-field efforts at Haydock and Ripon. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and that s where his future probably lies.

Son of New Approach whose dam won over 1m1f in France. Represents powerful connections and is clearly one to be interested in on debut.

Has cut little ice in starts at Doncaster and Lingfield. Unlikely to trouble the best of these and is probably one for nurseries later in the season.

Lope De Vega colt who cost £34,000 as a yearling. Well supported beforehand, he ran well to be third on debut at Haydock. From a stable with strength in the juvenile division, he looks a leading player.

Daughter of Camelot who fetched €80,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to five winners. Stable enjoying a decent season, but is not noted for juvenile winners.

Only fair form so far, but seems to be improving with each run. Might hold stronger claims in nursery company in the future.

Ventura Royal26

5/1
Has shown steady improvement in three runs, culminating in last time's third at Thirsk. It will be surprising if she is good enough to win this, but a race of some sort should come her way before long.

Forecasts

Valdolobo (8/11), Muzaawel (5/2), Ventura Royal (5/1), Calling Rio (16/1), Duffy (25/1), Sunstorm (33/1), Angel Carlotta (33/1), Lever Du Soleil (50/1), Daffy Grey (66/1)

15:35 Redcar - 27 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Any market support for Godolphin newcomer Muzaawel would be significant, but he has quite a stout pedigree and this trip might be a bit sharp. He may still be good enough, but VALDOLOBO hails from a stable with several talented juveniles and this one did little wrong on debut in what was probably a decent contest. Angel Carlotta has a nice pedigree and is interesting on debut, while Ventura Royal is likely to get her head in front before too long.
