Slipping in the weight as a reaction to his form not really having any solidity to it this year and the losing run that he's on continues to grow. This looks to be his best trip and he's eased in grade again but fails to convince overall.

A change of tactics and a drop in the weights appeared to be the factors behind his win last time out with the advantageous rail position also a positive. Given an 8lb rise for that win and may not find conditions as much in his favour now.

His last two starts on soft have been rather disappointing (wore a first-time hood last time) and now is tried in a tongue-tie for the first time. His maiden win over C&D remains his only win and this mark still looks tough enough on the ground.

Could go round here in a blindfold having won here six times (five over C&D) and he looks to have taken on a new lease of life of this season (won here four times). Still features on his last winning mark and would be dangerous with an easy lead.

Looked as though things were clicking when she landed a couple of wins in the summer separated by a poor run but has failed to meet expectations since her last win. Yard in good form but she does come with risks attached.

Got off the mark at the eighth attempt last time out over C&D staying on well over the trip having been raced at sprint trips before. Made all on that occasion but won't find that trick as easy to pull off this time around has run poorly on soft before.

Appears to have taken an age to win having shown his best form at Thirsk and finally got off the mark there last time off a 4lb lower mark. He's a consistent sort but this rise in the weights is going to test him (career high mark).

Hasn't proved lucky here in the draw stakes being stick towards the outside of the field although overall he's looked one to be wary of and makes little appeal with a tongue-tie now added to his other headgear.

Had looked as though he might be on the way back judged on an earlier run and certainly looks well handicapped on his old form but that run proved a false dawn. No doubt, that he's well handicapped but showing little sign of cashing in on that low mark.

In much better form last year and held that form well for the most part and kicked the year off with on the AW. There have been a few highlights since then but more lowlights and he always looks the sort that needs everything to drop right.

Like Talent Scout he's always to be respected around here (four-time C&D winner) and he remains in good form since his Musselburgh win two starts back. Ran well at that same course last time and could add to his good C&D record here.

Underperformed for the most part this year with her form looking increasingly modest and she remains one to just watch here.

Up in trip and off a much reduced mark she took a 7f apprentice handicap at Redcar last time under an aggressive ride. Had looked prior to that win as one to oppose so it the form i s hard to weigh up but those tactics may prove hard to repeat here.

15:15 Beverley - 26 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A contest that could well be run at a decent pace with a few in this that like to get on with things and the potential for a closer to take this is there for all to see. Talent Scout and Relight My Fire have 10 course wins between them and are sure to make this a good pace with Equiano Springs one who may well join in that particular party. It remains to be seen how Rose Eclair will be ridden as she tries to follow up her Redcar win without a penalty but she’s looked awkward before and getting into a pace battle here would not suit her surely and she’s passed over. The Stalking Moon comes from a yard in good form but isn’t that consistent and although GLORIOUS POET had conditions in his favour last time and the run of the race he looks as though he might be a bit better than this grade and he’s chosen to follow-up his Lingfield win.
