Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3| J: J P Spencer| T: D M Simcock| D
11/10
Winner at Lingfield on debut last time out and carries a 3lb penalty as a result. This is more competitive but she is the only contender to have truly impressed in a race so far.

Horse silk
14/1
Pivotal newcomer who cost 90,000gns as a yearling. This trip should suit and is a half-sister to some useful types, including a Listed-level winner in France.
3

Horse silk
100/1
George Vancouver filly who cost £27,000 as a two-year-old. Possible that she will be better for this run and over further given time.

Horse silk
20/1
Looked like she would be suited by further when outpaced on debut, which the record of her immediate relations backs up. Vulnerable being kept over this trip.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: S M Levey| T: R Hannon
20/1
Dandy Man filly who cost €22,000 as a yearling. Fairly well-related and this yard has a good record with its juveniles; one for the shortlist.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: R Kingscote| T: J G Portman
66/1
Tailed off on debut at Salisbury last time out; this possibly more competitive despite much smaller prize, and she is done no favours by the draw.

Kavora
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: P Cosgrave| T: George Baker
66/1
Havana Gold filly who cost 10,000gns as a foal. Not a likely winner on debut given connections and pedigree.

Horse silk
66/1
Kheleyf newcomer who cost 2,200gns as a yearling. Half-brother has run well in some minor handicaps but not any better than that.

Murasaki
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: James Doyle| T: C Appleby
9/2
Dubawi filly who is a half-sister to a few winners. Not the most appealing of draws but the season this trainer has been having with his juveniles can't be ignored.

Horse silk
Saffah
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Dane O'Neill| T: C Hills
25/1
First foal of a stakes winner in the US and has potentially the best of the draw; looks to be her owner's second string based on jockey bookings.
Dream Ahead filly who cost €25,000 as a foal. This should be a suitable trip for her but other newcomers here have more exciting pedigrees.

Horse silk
3/1
Relatively well-related Dubawi filly who should find this a suitable starting point and is the pick of the owner's retained jockey over Saffah.

Exceed and Excel newcomer and a half-sister to a Group 2 winner in High Accolade I. Trainer yet to saddle a two-year-old winner this season.

15:30 Kempton - 25 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The number of newcomers here makes the job of finding the winner no easier but the tentative vote goes to MURASAKI. This filly by Dubawi is a half-sister to a few winners but is mostly of interesting because of the fantastic season Charlie Appleby has had with his two-year-olds, including first time out. Shurooq is the pick of Jim Crowley between the Hamdan al-Maktoum runners and should go well, while the only previous winner Teppal also holds obvious claims.
  1. Murasaki
  2. Shurooq
  3. Teppal
