Aint Dunne Yet172
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade| BF
7/2
Winner of a maiden hurdle at Thurles on testing ground over 2m in March, lightly-raced and could have a future over these obstacles. Makes chase debut.
2
Horse silk
10/1
Won a handicap hurdle off a mark of 109 over 2m4f at Fairyhouse in April on testing ground. Off 145 days ahead of this chase bow.

Coffee24
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: L P Dempsey| T: N Madden
10/1
Improved effort on second start over fences when 11¾L fourth of nine at Kilbeggan late last month on good to yielding ground, could be more improvement to come and in contention here if it does.
4
Horse silk
Coolbane West101
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Donagh Meyler| T: W J Burke
50/1
Jumping held up well enough in two chase starts in May/June, but looked to be in need of step up in trip. Both hurdles wins came over 2m4f so this looks more like it on return to action.

Le Curieux60
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Brian Hayes| T: J E Kiely
33/1
French import hasn't had a clear run of things since arriving here, unplaced in two high-class hurdles contests in 2016, again poor in handicap company at Killarney in July. First attempt over fence and watching brief advised.
6
Horse silk
20/1
Sub-standard in the point-to-point field and well beaten 36L seventh of 13 on chasing start at Killarney. Others hold stronger profiles.
7

Spider Web169
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: M P Walsh| T: T Mullins
20/1
Scored twice in 2016 jumping hurdles over this sort of trip, cut very little ice however on chase bow at Fairyhouse (2m1f, soft to heavy) in April. Off since and best watched unless market is in his favour.
8
Horse silk
Supreme Vinniet23
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: Miss D O'Shea| OR:  121
13/2
Placed on two of his last three starts including when 11L third at Killarney (good) last time out. Racing from out of the handicap on that occasion and interesting to see how he performs in this. Could go well.
A 16-race maiden under rules, he failed to complete in four starts this year (two in point-to-points) before coming home at walking pace last week at Listowel. Easily passed over on form.
10
Horse silk
50/1
Failed to get off the mark in 12 starts over hurdles, suffering heavy defeats in four of five outings so far this year. First attempt at this discipline, hard to rely on her producing the goods.
11
Horse silk
9/4
Lightly-raced smart winning hurdler, last spotted running well for a long way before fading in Grade 2 Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March, interesting recruit to chasing for top trainer.

Horse silk
Penny Janeh10
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
7/2
In good form so far this year winning a bumper and twice over hurdles, finished second both starts over fences so far, most recently when improving for step up to 2m4f on soft ground at Kilbeggan this month. Big player.

Forecasts

Montana Belle (9/4), Aint Dunne Yet (7/2), Penny Jane (7/2), Supreme Vinnie (13/2), Coffee (10/1), Close Shave (10/1), Rebelion Boy (20/1), Spider Web (20/1), Le Curieux (33/1), Coolbane West (50/1), Colette's Choice (50/1), The Dack's Man (100/1)

16:30 Galway - 18 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

PENNY JANE has shown good form in all sphere this year and she improved nicely on her second start over fences at Kilbeggan recently, the ground here won't be a worry for her and with the potential for further improvement she is a big threat in this field. Montana Belle ran a fine race for a long way in Grade 2 hurdle at Cheltenham when last spotted and will be well prepared by her trainer for this mission while Coolbane West should appreciate this longer journey on his return. Chase debutants Close Shave and Aint Dunne Yet are worth market checks and any confidence would be noted.
  1. Penny Jane
  2. Montana Belle
  3. Coolbane West
