Not without a modicum of promise on debut over C&D in early August (sixth), but not so good next time after rearing at the start and racing too keenly. Perhaps best to put a line through that latest effort and now back to basics.

Runner up on both starts thus far, and her latest Yarmouth (1m good to firm) conqueror Wild Illusion has finished third in a Group 3 contest at Chantilly subsequently, so that form has clear merit. Stable in form and the horse to beat.

Unraced fifth foal by Big Bad Bob out of Fleeting Affair. Half-sister to a couple of winners including Sevenleft. Worth a glance in the market given her trainer, but nothing more.

Unraced eighth foal by Nayef out of Rosacara. Cost 8,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to four winners. Much like her stablemate Indiscretion is worth a glance in the market, but nothing more.

€24,000 yearling by Sir Prancealot who suggested that there was better to come when fourth of 13 to Claudine over 7f here earlier this month. This race is at a slightly more competitive level, but another positive showing anticipated.

Stablemate of Miss Paris. Unraced eighth foal by Declaration of War out 1m2f Listed winner Briolette. Half-sister to four winners over trips ranging from 5f to 1m4f, and a positive run possible if market support is present.

Unraced fourth foal by Dubawi out of Ama. Half-sister to winners Mirror City, Abayan and Nightster, so one to very much one to take seriously for a trainer who has enjoyed a stellar campaign with his juveniles.

Stablemate of Livvys Dream, but heavily eased when beaten on debut at Goodwood (7f soft) in early August when last of six to Roulette. Shouldn't be troubled on pedigree by this longer trip and likely far better than what she produced at Goodwood.

Green and never involved when well held in rear-division over 7f (good) at this track late last month.

Looked in need of the experience from an early stage on debut at Kempton (7f polytrack). Bred to come into her own over a longer trip (1m2f+) and further improvement is likely with more time.

Unraced first foal by High Chaparral out of Dingle View. Her dam was an Irish 6f juvenile Group 3 winner who also landed the Norwegian 1,000 Guineas. Full sister to 5f to 7f scorer Vhujon.

Cityscape filly who hasn't proved stronger than midfield finishes in two attempts (both over 6f at Newmarket). Mixed messages regarding whether this longer trip will suit, but her debut conqueror Nobleman's Nest won well at Doncaster on Wednesday.

15:05 Lingfield - 16 September 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Improvement certainly appears likely from a handful of these runners including Lady Of Aran, Beckton and Miss Paris, whilst the race also features some fairly potentially interesting newcomers which are headed by the Charlie Appleby trained, Godolphin owned filly Lunar Maria. However, the clear form horse and the one that they all have to beat is the twice raced William Haggas trained filly GIVE AND TAKE. Her recent Yarmouth second to Wild Illusion has been franked by that winner (third in a French Group 3), and with both Hugo Palmer and John Gosden trained runners in behind her on that occasion, she looks fully capable of striking at the third time of asking.
