Beaten a nose by Wasim over 6f here on debut in July, before justifying favouritism at Newmarket later in the month (6f good to soft). Exposed in the Group 2 Gimcrack at York most latterly, and now tries a nursery for the first time.
Progressed with each outing, and stayed on well to take a 7f Sandown maiden (good to soft) by 1¼L earlier this month (beat Enzemble). This is a more challenging assignment, but will handle conditions well, so respected.
Improving with racing, and solid since upped to 7f. Off the mark at the sixth attempt at Sandown recently (7f good), beating Lethal Lunch amongst others. Given a 9lb rise for that 3L success, so now needs a career best performance.
Successful on his first two starts, including dead-heating with Benadalid at Newcastle in June (6f). However has found life more challenging in stiffer company since, but was feasibly amongst the wrong group (stands side) at York latest.
Successful on debut at Redcar in April (5f good to firm), but not since in five subsequent attempts. Improvement required, and most likely the stables third string based upon riding arrangements.
His best efforts so far have come on Tapeta at Newcastle, including when dead-heating with today's rival Guzman in early June (6f). Has the potential to stay this trip, but unlikely to be good enough based on last month's Redcar effort (6f).
Out ran his odds of 100/1 on debut here in July when a 6L runner up to James Garfield (6f good to firm). However, disappointing in both subsequent starts, and this race is a competitive nursery in which to step up to 7f.
Finished a never nearer fourth to Neola on handicap debut at Goodwood last week (6f soft). That was an improvement on her previous form and this trip should suit, but unlikely to be quite strong enough in this company.
Gained confidence by winning a couple of soft ground sellers in July (6f and 7f). Those races have worked out well, and he improved to take a Musselburgh nursery in a pleasing fashion last month (7f good to firm). Up 7lb.

A competitive 7f Class 2 Nursery Handicap which features a couple of horses returning from unsuccessful forays into Listed and Group company. Nobleman's Nest is one of those horses, but he needs to prove his stamina over this trip on handicap debut after being outclassed in the Gimcrack at York. Richard Fahey took this race in 2016 with Andok, and saddles three runners, with Sandown winner Crownthorpe the pick despite a 9lb rise in the weights. However, a sporting chance is taken on fellow Sandown (maiden) winner RUM RUNNER. The Richard Hannon trained colt has progressed with each outing, and despite this race representing a step up in class (nursery debut), he's seemingly certain to handle conditions well and could prove strong enough from an opening mark of 84.
